ABOUT THE ROLE
The Video Editor at Brands Capital Group is responsible for creating high-impact video advertisements and marketing content that drives campaign performance across digital platforms. This role combines technical editing expertise with creative execution — bringing Creative Strategist concepts to life through compelling visual storytelling that captures attention, drives conversions, and motivates action.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and optimizing content based on real performance data.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Edit high-converting video ads for Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and landing pages
Produce UGC-style content, product videos, and social media creatives
Use AI tools — AI voiceovers, talking avatars, automated captions, background removal
Collaborate with the Creative Strategist team to execute campaign briefs and concepts
Repurpose existing content into multiple variations for A/B testing
Maintain consistent brand style and quality across all video assets
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
Continuously optimize edits based on performance feedback and data
REQUIREMENTS
Must-Have:
AI Avatar experience — HeyGen, Synthesia, D-ID, Captions.ai, or similar
2–4 years of professional video editing experience (e-commerce / DTC preferred)
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
Strong portfolio demonstrating performance-driven, conversion-focused video content
Preferred:
Experience creating video ads specifically for Meta and TikTok
Familiarity with AI video generation tools: Kling, Sora, Veo, ElevenLabs
Knowledge of hook-based editing and conversion storytelling
Understanding of DTC performance metrics: CTR, ROAS, retention rates
Background in direct response advertising or performance marketing
Experience working with Creative Strategists or in agency settings
Self-directed, remote-ready with strong communication skills
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Expert proficiency in video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve)
Strong skills in Adobe After Effects for motion graphics and animations
Color grading, audio mixing, and sound design
Stock footage research, sourcing, and asset management
Platform optimization knowledge across Meta, TikTok, YouTube
Visual storytelling through editing pace, timing, and structure
Data interpretation for A/B testing and iterative improvement
Speed and efficiency across multiple concurrent projects
