JOB OVERVIEW

I am looking for a Content Creation and Strategy VA in the home decor, DIY, and online business niche who is Smart, Fast, and Works Hard! I need someone who is technologically savvy with knowledge in video creation across platforms, graphic design, photo editing skills, and has great organization and project management capabilities! This is not just an editing role. I am looking for someone who understands content, stays on top of trends, and can contribute creatively to make videos more engaging and high-performing.

As part of this role, my VA should be able to execute a variety of video creation and strategy tasks, such as, but not limited to:

- Research in my niche, coming up with video ideas, video planning, content calendar, scheduling, and project management
- Take my raw videos and create videos that convey my brand into accurate and compelling visual communication.
- Create videos that will complement the rest of our content - blogs, articles, and webpages for effective marketing on social media.
- Building our content strategy. I don’t have much time to conceptualize creative and relevant content ideas.
- Create and publish video versions across platforms such as my website, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, campaigns, digital courses, training content, webinars, ads, and other relevant areas
- Help with producing and publishing regular videos
- Help in producing enough content for my social media channels

**What You’ll Be Doing**

- Edit short-form videos (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) and long-form videos (YouTube), including adding captions, transitions, music, and effects to enhance engagement
- Repurpose long-form content into multiple short-form clips
- Design simple graphics using Canva (thumbnails, overlays, etc.)
- Perform basic photo editing for blog and social media content
- Stay updated with content trends, hooks, and editing styles, and suggest improvements to make content more engaging and aligned with audience behavior
- Support content strategy across three brands:
- DIY & Home Decor
- Digital Products / Business
- Personal brand
- Organize and manage files, edits, and deadlines, communicate regularly and provide updates on tasks

Here are the skills I am looking for in my VA:

1. Video Editing Skills: Should have strong Video editing skills and be knowledgeable about content creation in the home decor niche and editing talking head videos
2. Graphic Design and Multimedia: Should be able to come up with graphic design using Canva or any other graphic design software as needed for the video content
3. Photo Editing: Should have basic photo editing skills to be able to edit images that accompany the video content
4. Technical Expertise: ****Strong understanding of video editing software/apps such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Edits, Capcut or others, content management systems, social media platforms and other digital tools used in video creation and editing.
5. Creative Thinking: ****Should be able to come up with original ideas or angles when editing or designing content that will move the target audience. Have an eye for aesthetic design since visual presentation is increasingly critical in my niche.
6. Great Communication Skills: ****Should be able to ****communicate effectively and clearly in order to ensure smooth execution of tasks. Must be open to feedback and adapt to changing needs
7. Organization and Time Management: Video creation requires meticulous attention to detail and deadlines, so staying organized and responsible is critical for success.
8. Project Management: ****Should be able to utilize an online project management tool for collaboration and status updates

**Work Setup**

- Part-time (with potential to grow into full-time)
- Remote
- Flexible hours, but must meet deadlines
- Daily/ Weekly check-ins and task tracking via project management tools (Notion / similar)
