JOB OVERVIEW

Video Editor – YouTube & Drone Sound Design

We are hiring a full-time video editor to create short-form and long-form YouTube content, including cinematic Alaska flying, outdoor, wildlife, and adventure videos.

Starting pay: 50,000 PHP/month

We recommend applicants have at least 2 years of experience with Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve. Editing must be completed using Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut only.

A major part of the position will involve adding realistic sound design to drone footage so it sounds as though the drone actually recorded audio on location, including:

- Rivers, waterfalls, wind, birds, and wildlife
- Fish jumping or splashing
- Airplanes, vehicles, boats, ATVs, etc.
- Appropriate cinematic music and ambient sound

3-Step Hiring Process

Step 1 – Video Interview

Record a short video answering these five questions:

1. How many years have you been editing video, and which of our three approved programs do you use?
2. What experience do you have editing long-form YouTube videos and short-form/Reels content?
3. What would be a strong opening hook for a video where we fly an airplane to a national park to see bears?
4. What would be a strong hook for a video where we hike to a glacier and cook lunch over a campfire?
5. Tell us about one video you edited that you are especially proud of and what you did to make it engaging.

During the same recording, share your screen and show:

- Internet upload/download speed
- Computer processor/CPU
- Graphics card/GPU
- RAM
- Available hard-drive/storage space

Applicants selected after the interview will receive a $50 paid editing test.

You will add realistic sound effects, ambient nature audio, and appropriate cinematic music to three drone video clips.
