About This Role
We are seeking our first full-time internal Staff UX/UI Designer who will work directly with our product management, development, and client success teams. This is not an entry-level position, we are looking for a designer who has already built a fundamental understanding and a solid foundation of demonstrable UI/UX design skills in SaaS environments.
The UX/UI Designer will report to the Director of Product and collaborate across product, engineering, data analytics, and client success teams to transform complex event management workflows into intuitive, delightful user experiences that empower our clients to create exceptional events.
What You Will Do

Your work will span from registration flows and exhibitor portals to mobile event apps and real-time onsite dashboards.
You will invest your time understanding diverse user personas – from event planners managing conferences for thousands of attendees to exhibitors coordinating booth logistics to sponsors maximizing their ROI. You'll rapidly ideate variations to meet these varied needs while maintaining design consistency across our platform.
You will follow best practices, validate your hypotheses with user research and analytics, and proactively seek input on iterative approaches to product design. You are passionate about improving the utility, usability, and desirability of software and can juggle working on multiple
product lines simultaneously. You value exploration and variation, speak candidly, obsess over the details, and fiercely advocate for the user.

• Create mobile-first experiences for our iOS and Android event apps, understanding platform-specific design patterns and the context of attendees using mobile devices during live events
• Ideate, initiate, lead, and participate in design thinking workshops with internal stakeholders and external clients
• Design ideal customer-centric experiences while also providing pragmatic iterative approaches that fit within our Agile development cycles
• Develop comprehensive deliverables including user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and design specifications that tell compelling stories meeting both business needs and user requirements
• Establish and maintain design systems using modern component-based approaches that enable consistency and development efficiency across our React.js frontend architecture
• Present design concepts to internal stakeholders including executive leadership, product management, engineering teams, and directly to clients during discovery and validation sessions
• Collaborate with engineering on implementation, understanding technical constraints and opportunities within our React.js, Node.js microservices architecture • Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and identify opportunities for improvement
• Champion accessibility standards ensuring our platform is usable by all event participants
• Stay current with event industry trends and competitive products to ensure eShow maintains its position as an innovation leader
