About Us
Sin City CFO is a US-based tax advisory firm that helps online business owners — coaches, consultants, agencies, and creators — legally reduce their tax burden through proactive, year-round planning.
We don't file tax returns. We build tax strategies, implement them, and track every dollar saved. A partner CPA/EA firm handles the filing. We handle everything that makes the filing matter.
This is a stable, long-term role with a growing firm. We're looking for someone who wants to build something — not just fill a seat.
What This Role Is
You will own the backend tax planning operations for our client portfolio. That means building strategy plans, implementing and tracking strategies, and maintaining a clear savings report card for every client so they always know exactly what their tax plan is worth.
You will not meet directly with clients. But your work is what our advisors present and stand behind in every client conversation.
This role is right for you if you take pride in building systems, staying ahead of deadlines, and solving problems before someone has to ask.
Your Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a personalized tax strategy plan for each client
- Implement strategies and track projected vs. actual tax savings throughout the year
- Maintain a tax savings report card per client — clear, current, and auditable
- Identify new planning opportunities as client situations evolve
- Build and document repeatable workflows so the work runs consistently without constant direction
US Tax Strategies You Must Know
- S-Corporation election and reasonable compensation planning
- Qualified Business Income (QBI) deduction optimization
- Augusta Rule (Section 280A)
- SEP IRA, Solo 401(k), and defined benefit retirement plan structuring
- Entity structuring for tax efficiency
- Cost segregation (conceptual working knowledge)
Experience with US small business taxation is required. This is not a bookkeeping or return preparation role — it is a planning and strategy role.
You're a Great Fit If You:
- Have hands-on experience implementing US tax strategies for small business owners
- Can build a tax plan from a client's income, entity, and goals — without needing step-by-step direction
- Naturally spot what's missing in a plan, not just what was asked for
- Build checklists and workflows so your work is consistent and doesn't rely on memory
- Write clearly and communicate proactively — this is a fully remote, async role
- Are looking for a long-term role where you can grow with a firm, not just complete a project
About Working With Us
- Full-time, fully remote
- US business hours (Central Time Zone)
- Long-term position — we're building a team, not filling a short-term gap
- You'll have clear ownership of your work and room to build systems your way
