Role Description:
We are hiring a Philippines-based Tax Preparer who will take ownership of the end-to-end preparation of personal and business tax returns for U.S.-based clients. This individual will play a key role in document collection, communication, and return preparation, ensuring quality and timeliness. Key Responsibilities/Objectives:
Client Communication: Use TaxDome and
End-to-End Return Preparation: Independently prepare personal (1040) and business (1120, 1120S, 1065) tax returns for U.S. clients, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
Process Execution: Work efficiently within internal processes and systems to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards.
Quality Collaboration: Collaborate with the Senior Tax Manager to ensure returns are review-ready and address any follow-up documentation or adjustments needed.

Must-Have Qualifications:
Minimum 3–5 years of experience preparing U.S. personal (1040) and business (1120, 1120S, 1065) tax returns.
Proficiency in tax preparation software (Drake, Lacerte, TaxSlayer, ProConnect, UltraTax, or similar).
Familiarity with IRS regulations and current tax laws affecting individuals and small businesses.
Experience using TaxDome (or a similar client management portal).
Ability to independently complete tax returns with minimal supervision.
Comfortable using Slack (or similar tea
Strong English communication skills, particularly in writing.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
Prior experience reviewing returns prepared by others.
Exposure to multi-state returns and international tax scenarios.
Bookkeeping or QuickBooks experience.
Success Metrics:
What success looks like:
100% of assigned returns are completed accurately and on time. Able to achieve weekly goals presented in the individual scorecard.
Client and internal team communication is timely, professional, and keeps returns moving forward without bottlenecks.
Minimal revisions required during Senior Tax Manager review.
30 Days:
Fully onboarded to internal systems and processes, including TaxDome and TaxSlayer
Independently managing client document collection for simple returns.
60 Days:
Completing personal and business returns from document intake to draft completion with minimal supervision.
Supporting return preparation during peak season with strong turnaround times.
Operating as a fully independent preparer.
Handling a full caseload of client returns across personal and business filings.

Compensation:
Salary is DOE (Dependent on Experience). We offer competitive compensation and performance-based incentives.
