JOB OVERVIEW

PLEASE READ THE FULL DESCRIPTION BEFORE APPLYING. APPLICANTS NOT FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

We are looking for an experienced Solar Project Coordinator to help manage residential solar projects throughout California.

This is NOT an entry-level position. We are specifically looking for someone with hands-on experience coordinating California solar projects and who understands the process from permitting through PTO.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating with AHJs, utility companies, financing companies, customers, installers, and internal team members.

Key Responsibilities:

*Prepare, submit, and track solar permit applications with California cities and counties.
*Coordinate permit corrections and resubmittals.
*Schedule and track solar/electrical inspections and resolve inspection corrections.
*Handle meter spot requests and coordinate utility requirements.
*Prepare, submit, and track interconnection applications through PTO.
*Communicate with California utilities such as SCE, PG&E, SDG&E, LADWP, and municipal utilities.
*Coordinate financing requirements and milestones with companies such as Wheelhouse Credit Union, Concert Propel, HDM, Maxwell Power, and similar financing providers.
*Track multiple solar projects and ensure each project continues moving forward.
*Maintain accurate project notes, documents, statuses, and follow-up dates.
*Identify project blockers and proactively work toward resolving them.
*Communicate with customers, installers, sales representatives, AHJs, utilities, financing companies, and internal team members.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must have previous experience in the U.S. solar industry, preferably with California residential solar projects.

You should have hands-on experience with:

California solar permitting
Inspections and AHJ coordination
Meter spots and utility coordination
Interconnection applications and PTO
Solar financing processes
Managing projects from permitting through installation, inspection, and PTO
Professional phone and email communication
Managing multiple active projects and deadlines

Experience working directly with California AHJs and utilities is strongly preferred.

Work Schedule:
You must be available Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM Pacific Time (PST/PDT).

Availability during these hours is required because the position involves direct coordination with California cities, utilities, financing companies, customers, and other project stakeholders.

Compensation:
Pay is negotiable and will be based on your solar industry experience, California project coordination experience, knowledge, and qualifications.

What We're Looking For

We want someone who:

*Takes ownership of assigned projects and follows through.
*Proactively follows up without needing constant reminders.
*Is comfortable calling cities, utilities, financing companies, and customers.
*Knows how to research AHJ and utility requirements.
*Is highly organized and pays close attention to details.
*Can identify and escalate project issues before they cause major delays.
*Can work independently and reliably in a remote environment.

How to Apply:

Please attach or provide a link to your updated resume and answer these 4 questions:

1. How many years of solar experience do you have, and how much of that experience involved California residential solar projects?
2. Describe your hands-on experience with permitting, inspections, meter spots, interconnection, and PTO. Which California utilities or AHJs have you worked with?
3. Which solar financing companies have you worked with? Please mention any experience with **Wheelhouse Credit Union, Concert Propel, HDM, Maxwell Power, or similar financing providers.
4. Are you able to consistently work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM Pacific Time (PST/PDT)?

Please make sure your resume and answers clearly show your relevant solar experience. Applications without relevant U.S./California solar project coordination experience may not be considered.
