JOB OVERVIEW

Henriquez Accounting & Tax Services LLC, a U.S.-based accounting and tax firm, is seeking an experienced remote CPA or Senior Accountant located in the Philippines.

This position will begin part-time, approximately 20 hours per week, with the possibility of becoming full-time based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Manage bookkeeping and reconciliations in QuickBooks Online and Xero
• Review Profit and Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and General Ledgers
• Identify and correct bookkeeping errors
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing
• Review financial records for accuracy and completeness
• Work with Zoho Mail, Zoho CRM, Zoho WorkDrive, and other Zoho applications
• Maintain accurate client records and update tasks in the CRM
• Communicate professionally with our U.S.-based team
• Protect confidential client and tax information
• Assist with U.S. tax preparation and review, if qualified

Required qualifications:

• Active U.S. CPA license OR substantial experience working for a U.S. CPA, tax, or accounting firm
• CMA certification is a strong advantage
• Minimum of three years of U.S. accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Advanced experience with QuickBooks Online
• Experience with Xero
• Experience with Zoho Mail and Zoho CRM, or the ability to learn them quickly
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, bank reconciliations, adjusting entries, and financial statements
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet, professional workspace
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

Preferred qualifications:

• QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification
• Xero Advisor certification
• Experience preparing U.S. individual or business tax returns
• Experience with Drake Tax or similar U.S. tax software
• Experience working with 1040, 1065, 1120-S, and 1120 returns
• Experience with payroll and sales-tax reconciliations

Work schedule:

The candidate must have at least three to four hours of availability during U.S. Eastern Time business hours. Additional hours may be completed according to an agreed schedule.
