We are hiring immediately.

HM Creative is producing a mystery-documentary YouTube channel covering UFOs, aliens, unexplained events and other fascinating true stories.

We’re looking for a skilled After Effects video editor to take the script and narration for the first five minutes of a video and turn that entire opening into something polished, cinematic and visually impressive.

For the initial project, you will:

Research the subject and find compelling real photographs, footage, maps and documents
Edit the complete first five minutes around the provided narration
Create custom After Effects sequences where they strengthen the story
Add music, sound design and atmosphere
Deliver the completed opening and organized, editable project files

Your work may include:

Cinematic animated maps
UFO or flight-path visualizations
Archival-photo parallax and camera movement
Animated documents, newspapers and photographs
Clean 2D explanations, diagrams and timelines
Restrained typography and polished compositing
Serious, atmospheric visual effects

We want the opening to feel mysterious, cinematic and professionally designed—not like generic templates or flashy social-media editing. We do not use AI-generated visuals.

We provide the script, narration, story context, references and clear creative direction.

OPPORTUNITY TO GROW

The initial assignment is the first five minutes of one video, but the role can expand over time.

Future projects may include additional video openings, heavier motion design, larger portions of episodes or complete video editing. Scope, turnaround and compensation will be agreed upon before each project.

There is consistent project-based work available for someone who is talented, reliable and easy to work with.

Documentary experience is preferred, but a strong motion-design or After Effects portfolio is also welcome.
