# UI/UX Designer — NextGen BPO Projects (Freelance / Part-Time)
## About the Company
NextGen BPO is a technology company building SaaS products across multiple industries. Our active and upcoming projects include:
- **CargoMind Enhance** — A logistics SaaS platform for freight forwarding and customs brokerage companies, including a web dashboard and a Microsoft Outlook Add-in
- **HR & Workforce Management SaaS** — A time tracking and workforce management platform for businesses
- Other current and future internal tools and client-facing web applications
Our products are live in production with real users — you'll be working on something people actually use every day.
## What We're Looking For
A **freelance or part-time UI/UX designer** to help improve the user experience and visual design across our product portfolio. This is a great opportunity for a **fresh graduate or junior designer** looking to build real-world SaaS product experience. Our products are already live and functional — your job is to make them cleaner, more consistent, and easier to use.
You don't need years of industry experience. If you can think through a design problem, use Figma well, and communicate clearly, we'd love to hear from you.
## Scope of Work
### Immediate Priorities
- **UI refresh** — Modernize web dashboards across products (login, navigation, data tables, user management)
- **Constrained-space design** — Improve layout and visual hierarchy in narrow panels and sidebars (e.g. Outlook Add-in taskpane at ~350px wide)
- **Design system / component library** — Create a small Figma component library for consistent buttons, cards, forms, badges, and headers across products
### Ongoing Work
- Design new features before development (wireframes ? mockups ? handoff)
- Improve information density without sacrificing readability
- Ensure accessibility basics (contrast, font sizes, focus states)
- Responsive considerations for web and panel-based interfaces
## Deliverables
- **Figma files** with organized pages, components, and variants
- Design specs with spacing, colors, and typography tokens
- Interaction notes (hover states, transitions, loading states)
- Developer handoff via Figma (inspect mode)
## Requirements
### Must Have
- Working knowledge of **Figma** (components, auto-layout, basic prototyping)
- An eye for clean, readable UI — especially for screens with a lot of information
- Ability to think about **constrained layouts** (sidebars, narrow panels, small viewports)
- A portfolio or project showing your design process — **any dashboard, web app, or SaaS interface counts** (school projects, personal redesigns, or concept work welcome)
- Clear written communication in English
### Nice to Have
- Exposure to B2B, productivity tools, or SaaS design (school projects count!)
- Experience with **Microsoft Office Add-in** design patterns or Fluent UI design system
- Familiarity with design systems or component thinking
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS — enough to know what's feasible to build
- Interest in HR tech, logistics, or enterprise software
> No industry background needed — we'll give you the context. We care more about how you think through a design problem than what domain you've worked in.
## Tech Context (For Reference)

| Backend | Node.js / Express |
| Hosting | Microsoft Azure |
| Platforms | Web apps, Microsoft Outlook Add-in |
| Design Tool | Figma |
## Engagement Details

## How to Apply
Please share:
1. **Portfolio or project samples** — 2–3 examples of UI work. This can be anything: a dashboard redesign, a SaaS app concept, a school capstone, or a personal project — we just want to see how you approach UI problems
2. **Figma sample** — A link to any Figma file showing components, layouts, or a recent project
3. **Brief intro** — Tell us a bit about yourself and why you're interested in this kind of work
4. **Availability and rate** — Your hourly rate and how many hours per week you can commit
