About the Role
We run UGC-style paid social ads for an apparel brand (men’s activewear — tanks, quarter-zips, tees, shorts, joggers). We already have a proven system: winning scripts, hooks, and video frameworks that consistently perform, plus a large content library of raw creator footage and overlay clips.
We need an editor who can take that existing library + our scripts/frameworks and replicate our top-performing videos at scale — not come up with new creative ideas from scratch. If you’re organized, fast, detail-oriented, and can follow a style guide precisely, this is a great fit.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Editing 60–90 short-form UGC videos per week (mix of new videos and variations/iterations of proven winners)
• Pulling raw footage and overlay clips from an organized shared Google Drive
• Matching the pacing, caption style, hook placement, and visual style of our existing top-performing videos
• Adding text overlays, captions, product callouts, and B-roll/overlay cuts per our style guide
• Syncing edits to scripts we provide (voiceover timing, line-by-line pacing)
• Basic color/audio cleanup so footage looks consistent across creators
• Organizing and naming finished files per our folder system
• Hitting daily/weekly delivery quotas with fast turnaround (usually within 24–48 hours of assignment)
• Flagging footage gaps or issues so we can source more content
What We Provide
• A fully organized Google Drive with:
• Raw creator footage
• B-roll / overlay footage library
• Past winning videos to use as templates
• Fast feedback loop on revisions
Requirements
•Strong CapCut skills — you should already be fast and comfortable in CapCut, not learning it on the job
•Proven experience editing UGC / short-form ad content (TikTok, Reels, Spark ads) — portfolio or past work required
•Ability to match an existing style/template closely rather than “make it your own” — precision over originality here
•Strong attention to detail (caption timing, spelling, brand consistency)
•Reliable, fast turnaround — this role requires consistent daily output, not batch-once-a-week
•Good written English for communicating about scripts/notes. Need to be able to speak & hear English well to properly edit voiceovers.
•Comfortable using Google Drive for asset management
• Available for 25-30 hrs/week on a consistent schedule
Nice to Have
•Experience editing for fitness/apparel/fashion brands
•Familiarity with hook-based direct response ad structures
•Basic experience with overlay/B-roll comparison style edits (e.g., “beater vs. tank” side-by-sides)
Compensation & Growth
•After trial: Monthly base + bonus for editors who consistently hit quality + volume targets, especially if the videos convert very well.
•Long-term part-time role with potential to grow into full-time as volume increases
How to Apply
To be considered, please submit:
1. Your CapCut portfolio or links to 3–5 past UGC/ad edits you’ve done (not just organic content — we want to see ad-style editing)
2. A short test edit — we’ll send you one raw clip and ask you to turn around a 20–30 second edit within 12 hours. This is NOT paid as it meant to confirm you are able to edit the way we want and can do it quickly.
3. Answers to these screening questions in your application:
•How many hours per week can you consistently commit, and what timezone/hours do you typically work?
•How many short-form video edits can you realistically turn around per day in CapCut?
•Do you have reliable internet and a computer capable of running CapCut smoothly?
Please put “HAUS EDITOR” at the top of your application so we know you read the full post.
