JOB OVERVIEW

We are a US-based financial services company looking for a detail-oriented researcher to help us extract and organize public business filing data from US government websites.

This role involves reviewing Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) filings, identifying business entities, analyzing basic collateral descriptions, and accurately logging business information into structured spreadsheets.

This is NOT sales, cold calling, or marketing. It is data research and analysis.

Responsibilities

Search US Secretary of State websites for recent UCC filings

Identify business (LLC / Corp) debtors only

Review secured party and collateral information

Extract and accurately log business data into Google Sheets

Follow clear tagging rules (fundable / review / no-go)

Maintain high accuracy and consistency

Requirements

Excellent attention to detail

Comfortable reading legal or financial text

Strong English reading comprehension

Experience with spreadsheets (Google Sheets or Excel)

Ability to follow step-by-step instructions exactly
