CAN YOU TURN A COMPLEX TOPIC INTO A 30-SECOND TUTORIAL?
I am hiring a part-time TikTok editor for a fast-growing Trading Card Game (TCG) content brand. This post is for editors who specialize in structured, step-by-step tutorial content.
Tutorial content drives saves and shares, which TikTok rewards heavily in the algorithm. We want editors who can take a complex topic (how to grade a card, how to spot a fake, how to value your collection) and turn it into a tight, scannable 30-second walkthrough that viewers actually finish.
WHAT YOU WILL EDIT
- 8-10 tutorial videos per day, Monday to Friday
- 30-60 second step-by-step tutorials with numbered steps, clear text, screen recordings, or animated overlays
- Topics: "how to grade your cards," "how to spot a fake Charizard," "how to value your collection," "how to open packs to maximize chase rate," "how to use Pricecharting," and similar
- Strong structural editing: clear intro hook, numbered steps, payoff conclusion
- Output 9:16 vertical, deliver via Drive
STYLE REFERENCE
Study tutorial-style creators on TikTok across niches (cooking, tech, beauty, finance). Look for editors who use numbered overlays, step transitions, and clear progression.
REQUIREMENTS
- 6+ months short-form video editing experience
- Portfolio with step-by-step or how-to content (even outside TCG niche)
- Strong text overlay and number/step visualization skills
- Comfortable with screen recording integration if topic requires it
- Proficient in CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
- Available Mon-Fri, 5 days/week, around 1.5 to 2 hours/day
- Filipino editors preferred for timezone alignment
BONUS POINTS
- Knowledge of TCG (any: Pokemon, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, sports cards)
- Past work editing for tutorial-heavy creators (tech, cooking, DIY, finance)
- Motion graphics for step transitions
- Experience with animated overlays and process visualization
COMPENSATION
PHP 16,800/month (paid weekly at PHP 4,200 every Friday). 8-10 tutorial videos/day x 5 days = 40-50 videos/week. Lower daily volume because tutorial structure requires more thought. Performance bonuses after 60 days.
HOW TO APPLY
In your application include:
1. 2-3 portfolio links showing your best tutorial or how-to short-form work
2. Your usual turnaround time for one 30-60 second tutorial
3. Confirm you can commit to 8-10 tutorial videos/day, Mon-Fri
4. Describe how you would structure a 45-second "how to spot a fake Charizard card" tutorial (hook, steps, payoff)
Applications missing the structure exercise will not be reviewed.
SELECTION PROCESS
1. Review application within 48 hours
2. Short message exchange with shortlisted candidates
3. Final hire within 1 week
4. First week serves as paid trial. Meeting standards = continue. If not = part ways professionally, keep trial payment
Long-term role, minimum 3-month commitment expected.
