JOB OVERVIEW

AJG Transport is expanding its route operations division and seeking a reliable, detail-oriented professional to help support and streamline our daily transportation duties. We are looking for a Transportation Tracker to support real time fleet movement, manage load data accuracy, and ensure smooth coordination between drivers, customers, and internal teams.

Role Overview
You will serve as a real time control point within route operations. Your responsibility is to ensure loads are properly assigned, tracked, updated, and documented while maintaining consistent communication across drivers, brokers, and customers. You will operate within structured SOPs while making fast, sound operational decisions when challenges arise.

What You’ll Be Doing
• Monitor lanes, driver movement, load progress, ETAs, and service requirements using GPS and TMS.
• Assign and dispatch loads based on driver availability, Hours of Service, customer requirements, and operational priorities.
• Maintain accurate real-time load data, check calls, timestamps, delivery milestones, and documentation in TMS and Google Sheets.
• Communicate with drivers, brokers, and customers while proactively addressing delays, route conflicts, detention risks, and other service issues.
• Follow established dispatch and escalation SOPs, provide clear shift reports and handoffs, and escalate operational risks to leadership as needed.

What Success Looks Like
• Monitor lanes and critical loads with urgency, accuracy, and consistency from start to finish.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date information across TMS, Google Sheets, and tracking platforms.
• Provide scheduled updates on time with clear, concise, and actionable communication.
• Identify and escalate operational risks early, bringing solutions and next steps whenever possible.
• Maintain smooth and well-documented shift handoffs, and demonstrate reliability during high-pressure situations.

Who We’re Looking For
• Experience in logistics, freight brokerage, dispatch, transportation tracking, or similar operations, with an understanding of fleet coordination, load planning, and Hours of Service.
• Ability to monitor multiple loads and drivers simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, urgency, and proper prioritization in a live dispatch environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across Zoom, chat, and email, with a minimum typing speed of 45 WPM.
• Highly detail-oriented with sound judgment, strong follow-through, and the ability to operate effectively in high-volume communication environments.
• Team oriented, coachable, and dependable, with a willingness to follow established processes, accept feedback, and collaborate without resistance or ego.

Schedule & Work Setup
• Direct hire, full time position with a US based company, and permanent work from home setup.
• Available shift: Monday - Saturday 7 PM - 5 AM CDT
• Zoom presence with camera on and audio unmuted is required throughout the scheduled shift.
• Time tracking software is used for accountability and performance support.
