We’re seeking a highly organized and bilingual Tour Operations Analyst to manage restaurant reservations, partner communications, and shift scheduling for our food and cultural tours in Japan. This is a remote position, but requires fluency in Japanese and proficiency in Microsoft Excel to handle day-to-day coordination tasks effectively.
You’ll work behind the scenes to ensure every tour runs smoothly—from confirming restaurant bookings to tracking partner quality and creating guide shift schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
Communicate daily in native-level Japanese with restaurants and partner vendors to confirm reservations and availability
Ensure restaurant partners meet quality, capacity, and timing standards
Track reservation records, partner performance, and any operational issues
Use Excel to create and update tour guide shift schedules
Troubleshoot last-minute changes and resolve booking conflicts quickly
Collaborate with internal operations and guide teams to align schedules
Research and onboard new restaurant partners when necessary
Requirements:
Fluent in Japanese (business/native level) and strong English skills
Advanced Excel skills (formulas, conditional formatting, schedule creation, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Experience in hospitality, reservations, or operations coordination
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Familiarity with Japan’s dining and service culture
Bonus: Experience with tools like Google Sheets, TableCheck, or similar platforms
