Position Summary
ClosePoint USA is seeking a highly detail-oriented Title Document Clerk to join our Recording and Policy Department. This role is critical to the integrity of our title operations and requires exceptional attention to detail, document review skills, and the ability to follow established procedures without shortcuts. The Title Document Clerk will work directly under the Manager of Recording of Documents and Issuance of Policies and will be fully trained in both document recording and title insurance policy issuance.
Key Responsibilities
Review mortgages, deeds, and related real estate documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance prior to recording
Prepare and submit documents for electronic recording with county recording offices
Identify and resolve document discrepancies, missing information, or recording issues
Maintain accurate records and follow strict filing procedures
Issue Owner’s and Lender’s Title Insurance Policies through TitleFusion software
Electronically distribute issued policies to appropriate parties
Adhere to company policies, timelines, and quality control standards
Training & Supervision
30 days of daily, hands-on training with the Manager of Recording and Policies
Continued oversight and support throughout the initial probationary period
Training will cover document recording standards, county requirements, and policy issuance procedures
Compensation
$5.50 per hour during the first 90-day probationary period
$6.50 per hour upon successful completion of the probationary period
Schedule Requirements
Must be available to work Eastern Standard Time (New York hours) for the first 90 days
Consistent attendance and punctuality are required
Required Qualifications
College degree required, preferably in:
Law
Business Management
Accounting
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to review legal and financial documents accurately
Comfortable working with electronic filing systems and software
Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
