JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role

We're looking for a skilled TikTok Shop Video Editor to edit high-converting talking-head videos for TikTok. Your goal is to create fast-paced, engaging videos that maximize viewer retention and help drive sales.

Responsibilities

- Remove all dead space, awkward pauses, mistakes, and filler words.
- Be able to overlap audio AKA "J-Cut"
- Edit talking-head videos into fast-paced, high-retention content.
- Add relevant overlay images, graphics, B-roll, and screen recordings that match the script.
- Create clean, accurate captions.
- Follow our editing style and maintain consistency across all videos.
- Deliver edits on time while maintaining high quality.

Requirements

- Strong English comprehension (must understand spoken English without issue).
- Proficient in CapCut (required).
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to edit many videos while maintaining quality.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection.
- Reliable computer capable of editing HD/4K videos smoothly.
- Ability to follow instructions exactly and accept feedback.
- Strong communication skills.
- Able to meet deadlines consistently.
Previous experience editing TikTok, Reels, or YouTube Shorts is preferred.

Your Task

Open the Google Drive folder below. Inside, you will find:

- The raw video footage
- The completed reference video

Using CapCut, recreate the reference video as accurately as possible. Your goal is to match the edit 1:1, including:
Cuts and pacing

- Removal of dead space
- Split screen editing (example in Google Drive)
- Overlaying audio
- Use of keyframes
- Timing
- Overall editing style

This assignment is designed to evaluate your editing skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow an established editing style.
