Tier 1 Technician (with Web Support Functions)

Projected Shift Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Dispatch Hours: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (During onboarding training for 60 days)

Role Overview
We are seeking a Tier 1 Technician (with Web Support Functions) to join our Service Team. This hybrid role primarily focuses on Tier 1 technical support while contributing to web development initiatives. The ideal candidate is a versatile problem-solver who thrives in IT support and has a foundational understanding of web development.
You will primarily provide Tier 1 service desk support and assist with website maintenance and updates.
Key Responsibilities
Service Desk & Technical Support (80%)
Act as the first point of contact for technical issues via HaloPSA,
Provide Tier 1 troubleshooting for user issues (hardware, software, and connectivity).
Create, assign, and manage tickets; escalate as needed to higher tiers.
Maintain service notes, documentation, and ensure SLA compliance.
Coordinate dispatch between clients and higher-tier technicians.
Web Development Support (20%)
Update and maintain company websites (WordPress or similar CMS).
Implement layout and style improvements following brand guidelines.
Support internal web portal and knowledge base enhancement initiatives.
Required Skills
Technical Skills
Experience in IT Service Desk or Tier 1 support environment.
Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows, macOS, and Office 365.
Familiarity with ticketing systems (HaloPSA or equivalent).
Proficiency in WordPress (content editing, plugin configuration, page layout).
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Knowledge of domain/DNS management and hosting basics.

Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
Adaptable and proactive in both technical and web tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
1–2 years of experience in IT or Service Desk roles with exposure to web work.
Experience in an MSP or IT support environment.
Coursework or certification in Web Development or related fields.
Experience maintaining or building WordPress-based websites.
