To continue on our journey, we are looking for highly skilled and motivated candidate to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on a product that is used by extensively by landlords to keep on top of their portfolio.

As a Test Engineer , you will be part of a dynamic software development team environment where your testing skills will be crucial to the delivery of mission critical proptech software following structured development approaches and methodologies.

You will undertake Testing/Automation/DevOps activities of medium to high complexity related to different software components and versions. You will be required to do development work related to software testing frameworks. Given the mission critical nature of our business, strong emphasis is placed on quality, security, availability, resiliency, scalability, performance, and system resources consumption. It is expected that suitable candidates adhere to a structured testing environment and will actively contribute to delivering software to the quality expectations of our customers.

Responsibilities

As a Test Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team of professionals and applying modern software developments, DevOps/testing/automation and delivery practices.

You will actively participate in the whole cycle of development of new user stories: requirements review, solution design, implementation, testing plan and development testing. Understanding problems, solutions and ensuring the overall consistency of the software will be one of your primary objectives.

You will share team commitments and own some parts of those solutions.

Where needed you will take part in software delivery tasks (builds, installation of release on test environments, etc.).

Our solution can always get better! You will take any opportunity to share your experience and best practices, improve the way we work and the tools we use and the software we produce.

What to expect?

Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. developers and product) to identify system requirements, develop effective strategies and test plans
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
Automate test cases using appropriate testing frameworks and tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
Effectively use AI assistants during test design, automation and testing activities
Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
Estimate, prioritise, plan and coordinate testing activities
Design, develop, execute and maintain test cases (manual or automated) and analyse results
Identify, document, and track software defects using a bug tracking system, working closely with development teams for resolution
Support CI/CD-integrated test execution and help troubleshoot automation failures

What will make you successful?

A university degree in a relevant field of computing (IT, Computer engineering, Computer Science, Informatics)
A minimum of 3 years of experience in testing and/or software development
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices
Experience with the Selenium test automation frameworks (or equivalent)
Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, Typescript)
Testing methodology certification (e.g. ISTQB) is an added advantage (or an asset)
Analytical mind and problem-solving attitude
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Open-minded, solutions oriented, and a true team player gaining energy through collaboration with others
Demonstrated strong interpersonal relations, sense of responsibility, commitment and customer focus
Ability to prioritise work independently based on business impact and urgency
Ability to take proactive actions and have positive attitude
A good grasp of English and the ability to translate technical tasks to simple language to a (sometimes) non-technical audience

Experience or knowledge of following are nice to have:

Basic knowledge in functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, performance testing
Familiar with test management tools (e.g. JIRA, X-Ray), confluence
Agile Mind-set: You like to learn and continuously improve the way we work
Team-oriented: you take pride from team achievements and are ready to support and be supported by your team-mates
Very good communication skills, including remote meeting setups
Curious, eager to learn and to educate others

API Testing: Postman, REST Assured
Mobile Automation: Appium
Unit Testing: Jest
Performance Testing: JMeter, k6
BDD: Cucumber
Dev Ops: CI/CD Github Actions pipelines
Artificial Intelligence prompting
Admin: test reports with Allure or ExtentReport, Xray tests, designing test cases, bug tracking.

Candidates with the following skills will have an added advantage:

Test Automation Strategy: While your expertise and biggest advantage is in manual testing designing test cases and analysing boundary values, automation is how you execute that strategy at scale. You should understand the test pyramid (many unit tests, fewer API tests, even fewer UI tests) to build a fast and reliable suite.
Framework Engineering: Move beyond just writing scripts to build a test automation framework. This means creating reusable utilities, managing test data, and ensuring tests are maintainable and scalable.
AI-Assisted Testing: The future of testing will involve AI tools for self-healing locators, intelligent test generation, and failure analysis.
Containerisation: Using Docker to create isolated and consistent test environments

In essence, your role is to use your testing knowledge to guide the automation, choose the right tool for each task, and build a system that delivers fast, trustworthy feedback on the software's quality.
