ABOUT US
We are an Australian ecommerce and technology company operating multiple online brands and marketplaces. We build and maintain internal systems, Shopify integrations, automation tools, and operational software that support our rapidly growing business.
We're looking for a highly organized Technical Project Manager who can bridge the gap between business stakeholders and developers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, bugs are resolved efficiently, and software releases meet quality standards.
This is not a traditional project management role where you simply schedule meetings. We need someone who enjoys understanding technical issues, coordinating cross-functional teams, improving processes, and driving projects through to successful completion.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You'll own software projects from planning through deployment while ensuring day-to-day technical operations continue running smoothly.
1. Project Management
- Plan, coordinate, and manage multiple software development projects simultaneously.
- Break down business requirements into actionable development tasks.
- Prioritize work with stakeholders and development teams.
- Monitor project timelines, risks, blockers, and dependencies.
- Ensure deliverables are completed on schedule.
- Lead sprint planning, standups, and project reviews.
- Provide weekly progress updates to management.
2. Product & Operations
- Gather requirements from business users.
- Document workflows and functional specifications.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes.
- Coordinate software releases across multiple departments.
- Improve internal operational processes through technology.
3. QA & Release Management
- Review completed features before release.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Validate bug fixes.
- Ensure releases meet business requirements.
- Maintain release documentation and change logs.
4. Technical Coordination
- Work closely with developers to clarify requirements.
- Investigate reported software issues.
- Prioritize bugs based on business impact.
- Coordinate production fixes.
- Help identify root causes rather than simply escalating issues.
5. Documentation
- Maintain project documentation.
- Create process maps and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Document feature requirements.
- Maintain product roadmap documentation.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated experience managing software development projects from planning through successful delivery.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Excellent project planning, prioritization, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into clear technical tasks, user stories, and functional documentation.
- Experience using project management platforms such as Jira,
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong documentation skills, including creating SOPs, process maps, technical requirements, release notes, and project documentation.
- Ability to identify risks early, remove blockers, and drive projects through to successful completion.
- Self-motivated, proactive, accountable, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced remote environment.
NICE TO HAVE
- Shopify experience.
- Ecommerce experience.
- Experience working with APIs.
- QA or software testing background.
- SQL knowledge.
- Experience with automation tools and workflow platforms.
- Experience coordinating remote development teams.
- Experience with AI-powered productivity or automation tools.
SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE
- Within your first 90 days, you should be able to:
- Take ownership of active software projects.
- Improve project visibility and reporting.
- Reduce project delays through proactive coordination.
- Improve communication between business teams and developers.
- Help deliver higher-quality software releases.
- Introduce better project management and documentation practices.

You must:
- Have at least five (5) years of professional experience managing software, IT, or technical projects.

- Have a reliable home office setup, including high-speed internet and a computer capable of supporting modern project management, collaboration, and communication tools.
- Be comfortable attending video meetings with your camera on when required.
Applications will not be considered if:

- Applications that do not meet these minimum eligibility requirements or fail to follow the application instructions will be automatically rejected.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate enjoys bringing structure to complex technical projects. You are comfortable discussing technical concepts with developers while communicating clearly with business stakeholders. You know how to keep projects moving, remove blockers, and ensure teams remain aligned.
You don't simply manage tasks—you take ownership of outcomes.
Rather than waiting for instructions, you proactively identify risks, recommend improvements, solve problems before they escalate, and drive projects to successful completion. You're organized, detail-oriented, accountable, and thrive in fast-paced environments where priorities evolve quickly.
Success in this role is measured by your ability to consistently deliver projects on time, improve operational processes, strengthen collaboration between business and technical teams, and contribute to building reliable, scalable software solutions.
HOW TO APPLY
Please submit the following:
- Your most recent resume.
- A short introduction about your technical experience.
- Examples of software, systems, or tools you've supported or tested. (If you're including a portfolio, please ensure it is publicly accessible so we can review your application without requesting access.)
- Your answers to the following four application questions:
1. Tell us about the most complex software project you've managed. What was your role, what challenges did you face, and what was the outcome?
2. Describe a situation where developers and business stakeholders had conflicting priorities. How did you resolve it?
3. Which project management tools have you used extensively, and how have they helped improve project delivery?
4. Give an example of a project that was at risk of missing its deadline. What actions did you take, and what was the final outcome?
Please provide thoughtful, experience-based answers. Generic, AI-generated, or low-effort responses that do not clearly demonstrate your experience may not be considered. Finally, include the words "Push boundaries" at the end of your application so we know you've read the entire job posting.
Applications that do not include all requested materials or fail to follow the application instructions will not be considered.
