JOB OVERVIEW

About the role
Calimingo Pools builds luxury custom pools and outdoor living spaces throughout Los Angeles and Orange County. Every project goes through a permitting process — and we need someone who can take raw site data and designer intent and turn it into clean, accurate, permit-ready drawings that actually get approved.

This is a fully remote position open to candidates based in the Philippines. You'll work directly with our U.S.-based design and engineering team, managing the full drafting lifecycle from blank site plans to final HOA and building department submissions. Strong rendering skills are a real advantage here — our clients expect drawings that are both technically precise and visually impressive.

What matters most is your ability to produce accurate technical drawings and high-quality renders — not the specific degree on your diploma.

What you'll do
- Produce complete plan sets — site plans, section drawings, structural details, and working drawings ready for building permit submittal and HOA approval.
- Create high-quality renders — produce visually polished presentation drawings and 3D renders that clearly communicate design intent to clients and reviewers.
- Convert site measurements into blank site plans — clean, accurate base drawings the design team can build on.
- Coordinate with the design and engineering team — gather structural requirements and design intent from our U.S.-based team to ensure drawings are complete and buildable.
- Research zoning and code requirements — confirm setbacks, easements, and local restrictions before designs are finalized to avoid costly revisions.
- Support the permit process — communicate with city building departments and HOA offices via email and online portals to help move permits forward.
- Track project progress — update our project management software to keep clients and office staff informed across multiple active projects.

Must-haves
Strong hands-on CAD proficiency — AutoCAD, SketchUp, or equivalent
Proven ability to create accurate 2D technical drawings and plan sets
Good rendering skills — 3D visualization or presentation-quality output
Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accuracy and spatial understanding
Good written and spoken English communication skills
Reliable internet, dedicated home workspace, and available for PST overlap
Self-directed — able to manage tasks independently without micromanagement

Nice to have
Experience with pool, hardscape, or outdoor living construction drawings
Familiarity with U.S. building permit or HOA submittal processes
Experience with Lumion, Enscape, V-Ray, or similar rendering software
Previous remote work with a U.S.-based client or employer
Familiarity with project management tools (Buildertrend, Asana, or similar)
Ability to read and interpret structural or civil engineering plans
