JOB OVERVIEW

We are a U.S.-based public accounting and advisory firm seeking a Tax Staff / Tax Associate located in the Philippines to support our U.S. tax team in a full-time, long-term contractor role.

This position requires prior experience working with a U.S. CPA firm and hands-on involvement in U.S. tax return preparation. Candidates without U.S. tax experience will not be considered.

Responsibilities:

Prepare U.S. individual tax returns (Form 1040)
Assist with entity returns (Form 1065, 1120-S)
Prepare tax extensions, estimated payments, and basic projections
Enter and reconcile tax data using U.S. tax software (CCH Axcess preferred)
Organize and review client source documents
Maintain clear and accurate electronic workpapers
Track open items and follow firm deadlines
Assist with amended returns, notices, and state filings as needed
Work closely with U.S.-based Seniors and Managers, especially during tax season

Requirements (Must Have):

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
1–3+ years of experience with a U.S.-based CPA firm
Hands-on experience preparing U.S. federal tax returns
Familiarity with partnerships and S-corporations
Experience using U.S. tax software (CCH Axcess strongly preferred)
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
Excellent written English
Reliable internet and quiet home workspace
Ability to work full-time with U.S. Pacific Time overlap

Engagement Details:

Type: Independent Contractor (Offshore)
Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week)
Schedule: U.S. time zone overlap required
Pay: Competitive monthly rate (USD), based on experience
Payment: Monthly or semi-monthly
Equipment: Contractor provides own laptop and internet
Start Date: Immediate or as available
