JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a tax Preparer who will be responsible for preparing and filing accurate federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses while ensuring compliance with current tax laws and regulations. They will be responsible for gathering financial information, review tax documents, and ensuring taxes are accurate and timely.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and file individual, business, partnership, and corporate tax returns.
Review financial records, income statements, and supporting documentation for accuracy.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Identify tax deductions, credits, and strategies to optimize client tax outcomes.
Communicate with clients to obtain necessary information and explain tax-related matters.
Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
Resolve tax notices and assist clients with audits or inquiries from tax authorities.
Stay current on changes to tax laws and accounting regulations.
Use tax preparation software to complete and electronically file tax returns.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
Experience preparing individual and business tax returns.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws.
Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet strict filing deadlines.
