Position Overview
Bay Legal, PC is a full-service California law firm, and we are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to identify, approach, and recruit high-level talent in the United States, including licensed attorneys and other senior professionals. This role goes beyond posting jobs and waiting for applicants. You will proactively search for qualified professionals who are not actively applying, reach out to them directly, and present our open positions in a way that earns their interest. You will also manage the full hiring process, from posting and screening through interviews and hire. You will work closely with firm leadership to understand each opening and deliver a steady pipeline of qualified, interested candidates.
Key Responsibilities
1. Source and identify US-based attorneys and senior professionals through LinkedIn and other professional channels
2. Review candidate profiles to assess which individuals are a strong fit for the firm's current openings, based on practice area, experience level, location, and licensure
3. Conduct direct, personalized outreach through LinkedIn messages, InMail, and
4. Post and manage job listings across platforms such as Indeed, LinkedIn, and other relevant job boards
5. Review resumes and applications, and shortlist qualified applicants for each opening
6. Conduct initial interviews to assess qualifications, interest, compensation expectations, and availability
7. Verify attorney bar status and standing through the relevant state bar websites
8. Coordinate interviews between shortlisted candidates and firm leadership
9. Serve as the main point of contact for applicants throughout the hiring process, from first contact through offer and hire
10. Maintain an organized candidate pipeline and tracker, with clear notes on every outreach and response
11. Build a long-term talent pool of attorneys and professionals for future openings
12. Provide regular updates on outreach activity, response rates, and pipeline status
Required Qualifications
1. Two or more years of full-cycle recruitment experience, including direct sourcing and outreach to US-based professionals
2. Experience recruiting attorneys, legal professionals, or other licensed or senior-level candidates in the US
3. Advanced proficiency with LinkedIn for sourcing, including LinkedIn Recruiter or Sales Navigator
4. Experience posting and managing job listings on Indeed, LinkedIn, and similar platforms
5. Proven ability to write compelling, professional outreach messages that get responses from senior candidates
6. Excellent spoken and written English, with the confidence to speak with attorneys and executives
7. Working understanding of US law firm roles and structure (associate, senior associate, of counsel, partner, paralegal) and attorney licensing
8. Experience using an ATS, CRM, or structured tracker to manage a candidate pipeline
9. Ability to work hours that overlap with US Pacific Time
10. Highly organized, persistent, and comfortable with a target-driven role
