Summary / objective
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for driving the recruitment efforts for a home health care agency and recruitment initiatives, ensuring that we attract, engage, and hire top
talent to meet our organization needs. You will manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from
sourcing and screening candidates to facilitating interviews and extending job offers. Your role will
involve collaborating closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing requirements,
developing effective recruitment strategies, and fostering a positive candidate experience.
Essential functions & responsibilities
• Collaborate with hiring managers to understand specific hiring needs, job requirements, and
qualifications.
• Responsible for creating and managing job postings for open positions.
• Regularly update hiring managers on the recruitment progress, maintaining transparent
communication throughout the process.
• Monitor and assess the performance of job postings and promptly adjust recruitment strategies
as necessary to attract qualified candidates effectively.
• Review resumes, conduct initial screenings, and evaluate candidate’s qualifications to determine
suitability for open positions.
• Coordinate interviews, including phone screens, and virtual hiring events.
• Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. This includes clear
communication, timely feedback, and a smooth onboarding process.
• Extend jobs offers and facilitate the onboarding process through the BambooHR system,
overseeing tasks such as contacting references, E-Verify, scheduling fingerprint appointments
and coordinating TB testing if necessary.
• Ensure all new hire paperwork is completed accurately and properly filed.
• Schedule and facilitate new hire orientations, collaborating with the training team to ensure a
seamless onboarding experience.
• Collect feedback from new hires and hiring managers to assess the effectiveness of the
onboarding process.
• Make recommendations for improvements to enhance the onboarding experience.
• Provide weekly summaries of recruiting activities and progress to Human Resources Director.
• Stay informed of industry trends and best practices in recruitment ensuring compliance with all
relevant laws and regulations governing recruiting and hiring processes
• Provide administrative support to the HR department as needed.
• Contributes to recruiting projects and initiatives.
• Promote the Mission, Vision and Values of the company in all areas of responsibility, and
demonstrate commitment to Culture of Excellence and strategic goals.
• Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Understanding of relevant employment laws and regulations, including equal employment
opportunity (EEO) laws, fair hiring practices, and data privacy laws.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate with candidates and
hiring managers.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple job openings simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in using Workday systems to manage employee data.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and maintain
confidentiality at all times.
• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in HR documentation, data entry, and
compliance with policies and procedures.
• Ability to remain flexible, positive, collaborative, and enthusiastic to changes, shifting priorities
and new assignments.
• Possess a professional demeanor, demonstrates initiative, and can work independently.
Required Education & Experience
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in recruitment and onboarding.
