JOB OVERVIEW

Freelance Designer & Tableau User — Create a Beginner-Friendly Tableau Cheat Sheet in Canva

About This Project
We are looking for a freelancer who knows Tableau and Canva to create a visually attractive, easy-to-read beginner's cheat sheet or mini-guide for Tableau. This will be a free PDF giveaway offered to people who respond to our Instagram ad promoting low-cost Tableau tutoring services.
This is not a textbook or a full manual. Think of it as a friendly, visual "first look" at Tableau — just enough to get a curious beginner excited and oriented. Something they can glance at and immediately feel less intimidated by the software.

What You Will Deliver
A multi-page cheat sheet or mini-guide (approximately 6–12 pages, though final length is flexible based on content flow).
Designed in Canva using a free Canva account (no premium/Pro elements) so that we can edit it later ourselves.
You will share the editable Canva project link with us upon completion — this is a hard requirement.
The guide must include your own original screenshots taken from Tableau Public (the free version). No stock images of Tableau, no screenshots copied from other websites or courses.
Final export as a high-quality PDF, ready to send digitally.
Requirements for Applicants
You must have working knowledge of Tableau. You will be taking your own screenshots and writing short descriptions, so you need to actually understand what you are showing.
You must have Tableau Public installed (or be willing to install it — it is free) to capture all screenshots yourself.
You must be comfortable with Canva and able to produce a polished, professional-looking document.
Good written English. The text will be short, but it must be clear, grammatically correct, and friendly in tone.
Ability to meet a deadline (we will agree on timeline after hiring).

How to Apply
Please include the following in your application:
A brief introduction about yourself.
Your experience with Tableau — tell us how you have used it (work, school, personal projects, etc.). If you have a Tableau Public profile, please share the link.
A sample of your Canva design work — this can be any document, infographic, or guide you have made. We want to see your design sense.
Your proposed timeline to complete this project.
Your rate for this project (fixed price).
Bonus (not required): If you have created educational content, cheat sheets, tutorials, or guides before, we would love to see examples.

Budget
This is a one-time, fixed-price project. Please quote your rate in your application. We are a small tutoring operation, so our budget is modest, but we pay fairly and promptly.

Why This Matters
This cheat sheet is the first thing a potential student will see from us. It needs to feel helpful, generous, and professional — the kind of freebie that makes someone think, "If the free guide is this good, the tutoring must be great."
If this project goes well, there may be future work creating similar guides for other tools.

We look forward to hearing from you!
