JOB OVERVIEW

About the Position

Summit Restoration & Construction is looking for an experienced Virtual Restoration & Construction Estimator to join our team full-time.

We are specifically looking for someone with previous U.S. restoration industry experience who understands both mitigation and reconstruction estimating, has strong Xactimate experience, and has worked with TPA programs and insurance claims.

This is a full-time position with set working hours. This is not a flexible-hours, freelance, or project-based position. You will be expected to be available and actively working during your assigned schedule.

The ideal candidate can review project documentation, understand the full scope of a restoration loss, prepare accurate estimates, identify missing information, and communicate effectively with our U.S.-based team.

Responsibilities

* Prepare detailed estimates using Xactimate
* Write estimates for both mitigation and reconstruction
* Estimate water, fire, mold, and other property damage losses
* Review photos, measurements, scopes, Matterport documentation, MICA documentation, notes, and other project information
* Understand the relationship between mitigation and reconstruction scopes
* Prepare accurate estimates based on the documented scope of work
* Apply appropriate Xactimate line items for labor, materials, equipment, demolition, mitigation, and reconstruction
* Work within TPA program requirements and guidelines
* Review carrier and TPA estimate requirements and make necessary revisions
* Prepare estimate revisions and supplements when additional work or documentation is identified
* Assist with responding to carrier or TPA estimate revisions and questions
* Review estimates for accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation before submission
* Communicate with Project Managers, Coordinators, Estimators, and other members of our U.S.-based team
* Maintain organized project files and documentation
* Meet estimating deadlines and communicate proactively when information is missing

Required Experience & Qualifications

Applicants should have:

* Previous restoration estimating experience
* Hands-on Xactimate experience
* Experience estimating both mitigation and reconstruction
* Experience working with TPA programs
* Understanding of insurance restoration claims and carrier requirements
* Knowledge of water, fire, mold, and other property damage losses
* Ability to interpret photos, measurements, floor plans, scopes, and project documentation
* Understanding of restoration and construction terminology
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong written and verbal English communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines
* Reliable internet connection and a professional remote work environment
* Ability and willingness to work a full-time, set schedule aligned with Arizona business hours

Preferred Experience

Experience with any of the following is highly preferred:

* XactAnalysis
* MICA
* Matterport
* CompanyCam
* TPA platforms and programs
* Insurance carrier estimating guidelines
* Estimate revisions and supplements
* Xactimate Level 1, 2, or 3 certification
* Previous remote experience working directly with a U.S.-based restoration company

What We're Looking For

We are not looking for someone who simply knows how to enter line items into Xactimate.

We need an estimator who understands restoration and can look at a loss from both the mitigation and reconstruction sides. You should understand how restoration projects move through the insurance process, how TPA requirements affect estimating and documentation, and what is needed to produce a thorough and defensible estimate.

We are a process-driven company, so it is important that you are able to follow established procedures, communicate when something is unclear, meet deadlines, and consistently produce quality work.

We are looking for someone who wants a long-term, full-time position and wants to become an important part of our team.
