about the Role
We are a fast-growing solar energy company looking for a sharp, detail-driven Operations Manager to become the organizational heartbeat of our business. This is a hands-on role built for someone who thrives on turning messy processes into clean, repeatable systems — and who gets genuinely excited about automation. Bonus If you also are familiar with sales and or marketing.
We work with a network of skilled subcontractors to handle installations, which means the heavy lifting on our end is process, paperwork, and making sure everything runs like clockwork. You'll own that side of the business. As we grow, this role is designed to evolve directly into our Chief Operating Officer (COO) position.
? Must-Have Skills
GoHighLevel (GHL) – Hands-on experience building and managing CRM pipelines, automations, and workflows inside the platform.
Automation & Workflow Design – Proven ability to design and implement automated systems that reduce manual work and keep data accurate.
Obsessive Attention to Detail – You catch errors others miss. Paperwork, data, and deadlines are your domain.
What You'll Do
Build, manage, and continuously improve our internal systems and workflows using GHL and other tools to keep our operations running smoothly.
Own the day-to-day paperwork pipeline — permits, contracts, invoices, and subcontractor documentation — making sure nothing slips through the cracks.
Design and implement automations that eliminate repetitive tasks and keep our team operating at a high level with minimal manual effort.
Coordinate scheduling, timelines, and communication between our internal team and subcontractors.
Maintain accurate project records, customer data, and reporting dashboards.
Identify process bottlenecks and propose (and build) solutions — not just flag problems.
Support and eventually take on people management responsibilities as the team grows.
What We're Looking For
Strong GHL proficiency – You know the platform inside and out and can build workflows, automations, and pipelines without hand-holding.
Automation mindset – Experience with Zapier, Make (formerly Integromat), or similar automation tools is a big plus. You think in terms of "how can I automate this?"
Detail-oriented to a fault – You genuinely enjoy organizing, tracking, and making sure every piece of information is accurate and in the right place.
Strong communication skills – You can work clearly and professionally with subcontractors, vendors, and internal tea
Self-starter – You don't wait to be told what to fix. You see the gap, own it, and close it.
Tech-savvy – Comfortable learning new software quickly and optimizing the tools we already use.
Solar industry experience is not required — we'll train you on that. What matters is that you can build and run great systems.
Nice to Have
Experience with project management tools (Asana,
Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting/invoicing software.
Background in a fast-moving small business or startup environment.
Experience managing or coordinating with contractors or vendors.
What We Offer
A real growth path — this role is built to become a COO position as the company scales.
A small, tight-knit team where your impact is immediate and visible.
The freedom to actually build and improve the systems you work in — not just follow someone else's playbook.
