Full-Time | Remote – Philippines | Australian Business Hours
We are a growing Australian retail and e-commerce business looking for a Supply Chain, Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator to take ownership of purchasing administration, supplier follow-up, incoming shipments and inventory monitoring.
This role requires someone who is highly organised, analytical and proactive. You should identify stock or supplier problems before management needs to ask.
Responsibilities
- Maintain purchase orders and supplier trackers.
- Monitor supplier production and completion dates.
- Follow up suppliers on outstanding orders and deadlines.
- Track deposits, balance payments and shipping readiness.
- Monitor ETDs, ETAs and incoming containers/shipments.
- Coordinate information between suppliers, freight/logistics and management.
- Monitor inventory levels and stock movement.
- Identify potential stockouts before they occur.
- Identify excess and slow-moving inventory.
- Prepare reorder recommendations for management approval.
- Track incoming stock through to receiving.
- Reconcile ordered quantities against received quantities.
- Maintain accurate supplier lead times and purchasing information.
- Investigate stock discrepancies.
- Prepare concise weekly purchasing/inventory reports.
- Escalate delays, shortages and significant risks early.
- Look for ways to improve purchasing, inventory and reporting processes.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Previous purchasing, procurement, inventory or supply-chain experience.
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
- Strong numerical ability.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent organisation and follow-up.
- Comfortable managing multiple suppliers and purchase orders.
- Able to analyse stock data rather than simply enter it.
- Strong written English.
- Able to work independently.
- Proactive — you should identify problems rather than wait for management to find them.
Highly Regarded
Experience with:
- importing;
- international suppliers;
- Chinese suppliers;
- container shipping;
- inventory forecasting;
- e-commerce;
- Shopify;
- large product/SKU catalogues;
- bulky retail products.
Working Hours
Monday–Friday: Sydney business hours
Pay
US$5–7/hour depending on experience
We are willing to pay toward the top of the range for someone with strong purchasing, inventory planning and importing experience.
