ABOUT OLVY
Olvy B.V. is a Dutch consumer brand selling kitchen and home appliances across Europe and the UK, on Amazon and through other sales channels. We make our products in China, ship them by sea to Europe and fulfil through Amazon FBA and outside fulfilment partners. We're growing into more countries and channels. We need one person to own inventory, freight and partner performance so the supply chain keeps up with that growth.

This is not a coordinator or VA role. You'll set the rules that others follow. You'll also manage a Supply Chain Coordinator.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

1. Inventory planning
- Set safety stock, coverage targets and reorder points, and explain the reasoning behind each number
- D ---------- order quantities around supplier MOQs and full-container limits
- Build and maintain a rolling 12-month forecast that covers seasonal peaks and promotional events
- Watch inventory health and act early on overstock and slow sellers
- Direct the weekly replenishment runs to every fulfilment channel through your Coordinator

2. Imports from Asia to Europe
- Negotiate incoterms, prices and payment terms with suppliers
- Plan sea, rail and air shipments, and cost the freight premium against what a stockout would cost
- Improve container use and bring down freight cost per unit sold
- Handle customs, import documents and EU product compliance issues

3. Fulfilment partners and suppliers
- Define SLAs with 3PL and fulfilment partners, measure them and review them every month
- Escalate or replace partners who miss their SLAs
- Rate suppliers on actual lead time, delivery reliability and quality
- Arrange pre-shipment inspections and follow up on what they find

4. Data, reporting and processes
- Own the KPI definitions and report forecast accuracy every month
- Question what the tools say. When a report looks wrong, check it against the real data.
- Document processes so the work doesn't depend on one person
- Design the logistics setup for new countries and channels, including storage, returns, imports and VAT registration with finance

5. Must-Haves (please don't apply without all 7)
- 5 to 10 years in supply chain, including at least 2 years where you were responsible for inventory norms or a fulfilment network. Following rules someone else set doesn't count.
- Hands-on experience importing from Asia to Europe: incoterms, sea freight, container planning and customs. Domestic-only or US-only logistics doesn't qualify.
- Experience managing outside 3PL or fulfilment partners against written SLAs. You should be able to name the metrics and what happened when a partner missed them.
- Inventory planning at the parameter level. You've set safety stock or coverage figures yourself and can explain why they sit where they do.
- Strong analytical skills. You build your own analysis on large datasets, and you've caught a system or report that was wrong.
- E-commerce or marketplace fulfilment experience, such as restock and capacity limits, storage fees and returns. Amazon FBA experience is a strong plus.
- Fluent written and spoken English, good enough to negotiate with suppliers and push back on management.

WHAT D ---------- BETWEEN GOOD CANDIDATES
- You take initiative without waiting for the work to be laid out for you
- You've managed at least one direct report. Coordinating peers doesn't count.
- You can work well without a mature ERP or documented processes, and you build what's missing
- You push back on management when you disagree, and you back it up with numbers

NICE TO HAVE
- Lean, Six Sigma or similar process improvement work with measured results
- Experience with EU product compliance such as CE marking and product documentation
- Experience building a supply chain from scratch, not just running one that already existed

THIS ROLE IS PROBABLY NOT A FIT IF
- Your experience is mainly general VA work, admin or listing management
- You've only worked in B2B, retail or manufacturing distribution, with no e-commerce
- You've carried out replenishment but never set the parameters behind it
- Freight forwarders have always handled imports for you with nobody checking their work
