Role
We are looking for a Philippines-based remote Supply Chain Assistant to be an integral part of the buying and Merchandising department. The contractor will be assisting in identifying and maximising opportunities within the supply chain. The work will contribute to the maintenance and exploration of supply and service contacts with ownership on data reads and outreach.
As Supply Chain Assistant you will focus on identifying obstacles and opportunities to maximise profitability in addition to healthy stock turnover. A key focus on cost savings, quality, ways of working and communication whilst growing a diverse supply base and range for the long-term buying strategy.
Key Responsibilities
• Ownership of outreach and management of the contacts database
• Daily communication and records kept to establish statuses and next steps for multiple areas
• Identifying areas of improvement and opportunity, providing summaries and proposals to progress these with Buying
Manager support
• Product specification documentation and sample briefs, leading to sample and colour matching reviews
• Refining a broad outreach supply base down to 5 using clear rationale and explaining workings
• Maintenance of stock intake, position and sales reporting, utilising these to create a master inventory health report
• Ownership of live SKU margin dashboard
• Ongoing overviews of margin erosion risks and identifying cost saving opportunities
• Landed cost calculator document updates and maintenance
• Potential for travel depending on role requirements
Skills
• Prior experience in supply chain operations
• Strong communication skills to work with suppliers and external partners in the UK and China
• A keen interest and commercial awareness of the Hair and Beauty industry
• Advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formula, margin calcs, dashboards) Skills to analyse data and process numerical information, highlighting trends or issues and recommending appropriate actions
• Experience with setting up MS Excel reports, confidence in mid to advanced level formulas and data analysis
• Comfortable with a growing company and fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail is paramount
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Able to work independently while supporting a wider team.
• Experience within a Buying or Merchandising department is beneficial

• Suggested Hours: 40 hours/week | 1pm – 9pm PH Time
• The contractor must own their PC or Mac with Full HD resolution and a reliable high-speed internet connection.
