Job Title: Logistics Analyst
Department: Logistics / Supply Chain
We are a well established food manufacturing company located in Australia. We are seeking a sharp, detail oriented and proactive Logistics Analyst to join our team and optimize our supply chain operations.
Job Summary
The Logistics Analyst is the central to our supply chain operations and is mainly responsible for planning and coordinating all our daily freight operations, for both international and local transportation.
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan and execute daily booking of shipments with carriers. To collaborate with Planning, customer service and warehouse Operations to ensure smooth coordination and dispatch.
-Track loads in transit and ensure timely delivery to customers (both internal and external), update stakeholders, and solve immediate problems (like delays, damage cargo, product availability missing due dates) with corrective actions.
- Execute daily CHEP pallets transfer and ensure any fallout is immediately reconciled.
- Handle International shipments and ensure proper documentation (commercial invoices, certificates of origin), classifies goods (HS codes).
- Freight cost management and conduct detailed freight bill auditing and analysis to ensure accuracy and identify billing or service discrepancies. Provide clear explanation for any discrepancies and drive resolution.
Process Optimization & Problem Solving:
- Identify root causes of recurring logistics issues (delays, damages, capacity constraints) and develop corrective action plans.
- Streamline documentation and communication processes between internal teams (planning, customer service) and external carriers.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for core logistics processes.
- Participate in process improvements initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Cross functional Collaboration :
- Work closely with production, sales, finance, quality assurance team to align supply chain activities with business needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
· Experience: 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation analysis, or a related role.
· Technical Skills:
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in a carrier or third-party logistics (3PL) environment.
· Knowledge of international logistics (incoterms, customs) is a plus.
· Experience with logistics procurement or contract management.
