About Us
Arcmaster Welding is a small but growing custom fabrication shop specializing in structural steel and railing work for the North American market. You'll be working directly alongside the owner day-to-day — this isn't a role buried in a big estimating department, it's a chance to help build the estimating side of the company as we grow.

Important — Scope of Work
We are a small metal fabricator, not a large structural steel house. We currently take on projects up to 50,000 sq ft (about 4,650 m²) in building size. This is not the world of high-rises or major commercial steel packages — it's the kind of estimating and shop drawing work suited to a smaller fab shop: stairs, railings, misc metals, small-to-mid structural jobs. Candidates should be comfortable with that scale and pace, not just large-scale structural experience.

What You'll Do

Use AI to quickly identify potential scopes in bid packages
Perform material takeoffs from structural and architectural drawings using Bluebeam
Prepare quantity takeoffs and feed pricing into our in-house estimating tools
Produce shop drawings occasionally as jobs require
Review plans/specs for completeness and flag missing info or potential RFIs
Help prep bids and cross-check estimates before they go out
Keep estimating files and documentation organized
Work closely with the owner to learn our shop's fabrication, material, and installation costing approach

Must Have

Experience in steel or construction estimating, ideally with a smaller fabricator (not just large structural steel projects)
Comfortable with Bluebeam
Can read and interpret construction drawings and specs
Ability to produce or assist with shop drawings
Strong Excel skills
Sharp attention to detail
Clear written and spoken English

Nice to Have

Structural steel / welding fabrication estimating experience specifically
Familiarity with US/North American construction projects (South Florida is a plus)
Background in engineering or construction management
