Position Overview
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Structural Steel Detailer to join our team. This role involves preparing accurate structural steel shop drawings and blueprints for engineer review and approval. The ideal candidate must be comfortable drafting by hand when required and also proficient in industry software such as AutoCAD, Tekla, or similar detailing programs.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed shop drawings, erection drawings, and fabrication blueprints
- Interpret structural and architectural plans, specifications, and addendums
- Produce clear, accurate drawings for engineer approval and fabrication
- Coordinate drawing revisions based on engineer and project manager feedback
- Maintain organized drawing files and project documentation
- Assist with basic material takeoffs and detailing support as needed
- Communicate with internal teams to ensure project accuracy and timelines

Qualifications
- Experience in structural steel detailing
- Ability to draft by hand and digitally
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Tekla, SDS/2, or similar detailing software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to read and understand structural engineering drawings
- Knowledge of steel calculations, loads, and connections is a bonus but not required
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
