JOB OVERVIEW

For a Daily Morning Show That Actually Matters

This is not a writing job in the traditional sense.

We’re looking for a storyteller—someone who can see meaning in ---------- nts, pull signal from noise, and turn real conversations into stories that land emotionally and stick.

About the Show

Mornings in the Lab is a daily live morning show built around real conversations, curiosity, accountability, and growth.

We’re not chasing clicks.
We’re not manufacturing outrage.
We’re creating a place where people start their day thinking better, feeling sharper, and showing up more honestly.

What You’ll Actually Do

You’ll work closely with the host and production team to:

Shape daily monologues and conversation arcs
Spot stories inside current events, culture, business, health, and life
Turn lived experiences into relatable, powerful narratives
Help frame conversations so they’re human, grounded, and memorable
Capture and organize ideas, themes, and story threads in Notion
Collaborate in real time as the show evolves—sometimes fast, sometimes messy

This isn’t about scripts.
It’s about story direction.

Must-Haves (Non-Negotiable)

Strong working knowledge of Notion
(You’ll live in it. Ideas, outlines, story beats, show prep—everything flows through Notion.)
Clear, confident communication in English
(You’ll be collaborating daily with hosts and producers. Nuance matters.)
Comfort working in a **live, imperfect, high-trust environment

Who This Is For

You might be a great fit if:

You think in stories, not bullet points
You hear a conversation and instantly know what it’s really about
You understand timing, tension, and emotional payoff
You’re curious about people—not just topics
You’re calm under pressure and adaptable when plans shift
You believe stories can change how people see themselves—and their day

Journalists, writers, podcasters, documentary lovers, recovering creatives, and meaning-makers—you’ll feel at home here.

What This Is Not

Not corporate copywriting
Not SEO blog grinding
Not social media fluff
Not a role where perfection matters more than truth

The Vibe

High trust.
High ownership.
Low ego.
Real conversations.
Room to grow with the show and the network.

How to Apply

Skip the generic resume.

Instead:

Tell us why this show resonates with you
Share one story (written, audio, or video) that reflects how you think
If you don’t have a traditional “storyteller” title but know this is you—say that
Bonus: briefly explain how you use Notion** in creative or production workflows
