Are you a master of storytelling with a passion for true events that grip the soul?
We’re looking for a talented and emotionally intelligent Story Writer to craft engaging, in-depth narratives based on real-world tragedies, near-misses, and intense survival stories. Think: “The Most Painful Shipwreck Deaths Ever”, “Trapped Beneath the Ice”, or “Lost for Days in the Desert.”
If you can take raw facts and turn them into powerful, emotionally resonant stories that keep people on the edge of their seats, this might be the perfect fit for you.
What You’ll Do:
Research real-life tragic events and near-death experiences (especially survival, exploration, and disaster stories).
Write compelling scripts or narrative pieces for YouTube videos, podcasts, or digital publications.
Create stories that are emotionally impactful, respectful to the victims, and gripping from start to finish.
Collaborate with content creators and editors to meet deadlines and match the tone/style needed.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven writing experience, especially in storytelling, scriptwriting, or journalism.
Strong research skills and the ability to handle sensitive topics with care.
Ability to write clearly, dramatically, and with emotional depth—without sensationalizing.
Understanding of pacing, tension-building, and character-driven storytelling.
AI Use Is Welcome – But Craftsmanship Is Key
You may use AI writing assistants to help with research, brainstorming, or initial drafts. However, raw AI output is not enough.
You’ll need to:
Refine, restructure, and rewrite AI-generated content into a polished, emotionally compelling narrative.
Use AI strategically to save time, spark ideas, and gather information—but the final product must feel deeply human.
Have strong prompt engineering skills and know how to customize AI output to match our particular voice, emotional tone, or story structure.
In short, AI is your assistant, not your ghostwriter. The art of storytelling still rests on your shoulders.
To Apply:
Send your resume, 2–3 relevant writing samples (especially stories or scripts about true events), and a brief note about why you’re interested in this role
