JOB OVERVIEW

I’m looking for a creative, reliable video editor to turn raw footage from a business retreat in Denver into an engaging YouTube vlog.

I’m an athlete, entrepreneur, and founder of Relentless, a growing community built around challenging yourself, doing cool stuff, and bringing people along for the ride. My content includes endurance events, training, travel, entrepreneurship, community events, and the process of building Relentless.

THE FIRST PROJECT

This will be a paid trial project using footage from a three-day founders retreat in Denver.

The finished vlog should tell a story, not simply place clips in chronological order. I want viewers to feel like they came along for the experience and understand why the trip mattered.

The story includes:

* Traveling to Denver for a founders retreat
* Training and activities throughout the weekend
* Meeting other entrepreneurs and building new relationships
* Learning, reflecting, and thinking bigger about the future of Relentless
* A mix of energetic moments, honest behind-the-scenes footage, and personal reflections

WHAT I’M LOOKING FOR

* A strong opening hook that makes people want to keep watching
* Clear story structure and pacing
* Thoughtful selection of the best moments from the raw footage
* Natural use of music, B-roll, text, and transitions
* Clean audio and color correction
* Personality and emotion without making the video feel overproduced
* An authentic, documentary-style feel
* The ability to recognize meaningful moments without needing every edit spelled out
* Final delivery in 4K or the highest quality supported by the footage

I do not want a generic travel montage, excessive effects, constant flashy transitions, or an overly polished “influencer” style. The storytelling matters more than fancy editing.

POTENTIAL ONGOING WORK

If the trial goes well, I’m looking for someone who can become a consistent part of the Relentless content team. Future work may include:

* Athletic event and race vlogs
* Training and behind-the-scenes videos
* Entrepreneurial and brand-building content
* Podcast episodes
* Short-form clips and reels created from longer videos

REQUIREMENTS

* Proven experience editing story-driven YouTube videos or vlogs
* Strong written and spoken English
* Reliable communication
* Ability to meet agreed-upon deadlines
* Comfortable receiving specific feedback and making revisions
* Experience with athletic, documentary, entrepreneurial, or personal-brand content is a plus
* Must use properly licensed music

TURNAROUND
First draft delivered within 5 calendar days of receiving the footage and creative brief. Up to two rounds of reasonable revisions are included. Final video and editable project files must be provided upon completion.

HOW TO APPLY

Please include:

1. A short introduction and why this project interests you
2. Links to two or three videos you personally edited that best demonstrate storytelling
3. A brief explanation of how you would approach turning a three-day retreat into one cohesive vlog
4. Your expected turnaround time
5. Your fixed price for the paid trial
6. The editing software you use
7. The word “RELENTLESS” at the beginning of your application so I know you read the full post

Please do not send a large generic portfolio. I want to see the two or three examples that are most relevant to this specific project.
