JOB OVERVIEW

Employment Type: Part-Time (leading to Full-Time)

About the Business:
We are building a private vehicle rental operation that specializes in placing reliable economy vehicles with gig economy drivers on platforms like Uber, Lyft, and DoorDash.
This business is at the ground floor. We have one vehicle, an LLC, and a clear goal to scale to five vehicles in 90 days. There is no existing system, no active client base, and no lead flow yet. We are building that from scratch, and that is exactly why this role exists.

This is not a maintenance job. This is a build job. If you need everything already organized before you can be useful, this is not the right fit.

What This Role Actually Is:
You are the person who helps us go from one car to a real operating business. That means creating structure where there is none, owning driver communication, keeping payment enforcement tight, building a renter pipeline from zero, and helping us move fast without building a mess.
You will not be handed a playbook. You will help write it.

What You Will Own:
You will build and maintain a master tracker covering driver info, vehicle status, payment due dates, days late, GPS notes, risk level, and backup driver pipeline. You will own all driver communication including payment reminders, enforcement messages, and onboarding coordination. You will monitor GPS check-ins and flag anything that needs attention. You will help build the first simple SOPs for onboarding, late payments, and driver offboarding. You will help generate the first renter leads using Facebook Marketplace, local driver groups, and WhatsApp outreach. You will create a backup driver waitlist so the car is never sitting idle waiting for the next qualified renter.

What I Need From You:
You think in order. You know what to build first and what to leave alone until later. You can enforce payment timelines firmly and professionally without turning it into a conflict. You document everything. You take ownership of your lane without needing a manager standing over your shoulder. You understand that at this stage, one unpaid driver or one idle week has a real impact on the business.

Experience That Helps:
Direct experience is not required, but strong preference goes to anyone who has worked in private car rentals, Turo support, HyreCar, rideshare fleet coordination, driver operations, payment enforcement, lead generation for local service businesses, Facebook Marketplace listings, or remote operational coordination. You should be comfortable in Google Sheets. If you have used GPS tracking systems or fleet management tools, tell us exactly which ones and what you did with them.

Hours and Pay:
20 hours per week to start. Must be available during CST business hours for overlap. Pay is $5 to $7.50 per hour depending on experience, execution quality, and fit.

How to Apply:
Use the subject line exactly as written: The Sauce: Fleet Operator
Then send all five of the following. Applications missing any of them will not be reviewed.
One, a short summary of your experience in rentals, driver support, operations, or lead generation. Be specific. Do not write general VA experience.

Two, the exact tools you have personally used for tracking, GPS monitoring, CRM, fleet management, or lead handling. Name them and tell us what you did with them.
Three, your answer to this scenario: A driver is two days late on their weekly payment. They are still responding but keep saying tomorrow. The GPS shows the car is active daily. What do you do from this ---------- nt until it is resolved? Give me the full timeline, what you say, how you document it, and when the kill switch becomes part of the equation.

Four, your answer to this build question: If you stepped into a one car rental business with no lead system, no landing page, and no active clients yet, what are the first five things you build in week one and why? Keep it simple and realistic for this stage.
Five, a two to three minute Loom video explaining why you are the right fit for this specific stage of the business, not fleet management in general.
