Project Overview:
Dominion Properties (DP) is a dynamic and expanding real estate investment firm specializing in the acquisition of single-family homes, multifamily properties, and land. We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, experience handling day-to-day financial operations, and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.

In this role, you’ll manage general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and data entry across multiple entities while keeping our accounting records clean and reliable. If you bring strong accounting experience, proficiency with QuickBooks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you. Please share your background in accounting, the reconciliations and reporting you’ve handled with clear examples, the systems you’ve worked in, and your earliest availability.

As a Staff Accountant You Will:
Complete daily and monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts. Record and post accurate journal entries. Perform comprehensive general ledger account reconciliations across multiple entities. Execute data entry tasks to support accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Maintain supporting documentation for financial transactions. Use QuickBooks and Excel daily to manage reconciliations, reporting, and data validation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
We’re looking for someone with a strong foundation in accounting. A degree in Accounting is preferred. 5+ years of bookkeeping and general ledger reconciliation experience is required. You should be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks (desktop), detail-oriented, and accurate in your work. The right candidate will also be comfortable working independently after initial training, with the ability to meet deadlines and maintain precision across tasks.
