JOB OVERVIEW

Senior Technical on-page SEO & Generative Engine Optimization (GEO/AEO) Specialist | Long-Term Remote

We are seeking a hands-on Technical SEO & GEO/AEO Specialist for a dedicated, long-term internal role.

This is an advanced technical and execution-focused position, not a general SEO or copywriting role. You will bridge traditional technical optimization with next-generation AI retrieval systems, optimizing our web architecture for Google, Bing, Perplexity, ChatGPT Search, and other LLM-driven answer engines.

Core Responsibilities
Technical Auditing & Execution: Perform deep-dive crawl, indexation, and architecture audits; resolve complex canonicalization, redirect chains, crawl-budget waste, and rendering bottlenecks.

AEO/GEO Implementation: Structure on-page content, semantic entities, and data models to maximize citation and retrieval rates in AI search engines (Perplexity, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot).

Entity SEO & Semantic Schema: Write, test, and deploy nested JSON-LD structured data models (Organization, Service, Article, FAQ, ItemList, Product) mapped to recognized entities and knowledge graphs.

Performance & Core Web Vitals: Diagnose and resolve CWV issues (LCP, INP, CLS) alongside site speed and server response bottlenecks.

Hands-on Technical Fixes: Directly implement or debug basic HTML/CSS, CMS configurations (WordPress/custom setups), robots.txt, XML sitemaps, and tag firing.

Tracking & Diagnostics: Track organic performance, index coverage, and LLM brand/entity visibility using Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, log analyzers, and GEO monitoring tools.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills
3+ Years of Proven Technical SEO Experience: Demonstrated ability to fix complex crawlability, rendering (JavaScript SEO), and indexing challenges.

Demonstrated AEO/GEO Proficiency: Strong understanding of how LLMs parse, index, and cite content (RAG pipelines, entity extraction, natural language search intent).

Advanced JSON-LD Schema: Ability to manually write, debug, and implement custom multi-layer schema beyond default plugin outputs.

Front-End Competence: Working proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, and basic JavaScript to apply fixes independently without relying entirely on external developers.

Proficiency with Industry Tools: Advanced mastery of Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Ahrefs/Semrush, Sitebulb, and log analysis tools.

Analytical & Clear Communication: Fluent professional English (written) with the ability to document actionable technical specifications clearly.
