JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly knowledgeable and detail-oriented remote trading-card researcher based in the Philippines to help our growing sports and collectibles business identify strong raw-card acquisition opportunities.
Our primary focus is American baseball, football, and basketball cards, with additional research involving Pokemon, One Piece, and Disney trading cards. The goal is to locate raw, ungraded cards that are priced fairly and appear to have strong potential for professional grading—particularly PSA 10 consideration—so we can make disciplined purchasing decisions and resell cards profitably.

This role is not simply about finding cheap cards. You must be able to examine listings carefully, compare prices, recognize valuable parallels and variations, evaluate surface and print quality, and identify condition issues that could prevent a card from receiving a high grade. Because we may spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on purchases, accuracy, honesty, and careful judgment are essential.
Key Responsibilities

You will receive specific card names, players, sets, parallels, or collectible targets from our team. You will then search eBay and other reputable marketplaces to locate the best available raw, ungraded copies.
Your responsibilities will include reviewing listing photos for centering, corners, edges, surface condition, whitening, print lines, scratches, dimples, factory defects, staining, cutting issues, and other flaws that may affect grading. You will compare multiple listings, review sold prices and market value, identify whether the card is worth purchasing, and explain the reasoning behind every recommendation.

When listing photos are incomplete, you may respectfully message sellers to request additional close-up photographs of the front, back, corners, edges, and surface. You may communicate with a large number of sellers each week, so professional written English, patience, and respectful communication are required.
You will submit only your strongest opportunities. There is no requirement to recommend a specific number of cards. A high-quality recommendation for fewer than 20 cards is preferable to sending a large number of weak or risky options.
Collectibles Covered

The primary categories are MLB/baseball, NFL/football, and NBA/basketball cards. Additional categories include Pokemon, One Piece, and Disney trading cards. Experience in multiple categories is preferred, but exceptional expertise in one or more areas will also be considered.
Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has strong practical knowledge of modern and vintage trading cards, including rookies, prospects, autos, memorabilia cards, serial-numbered cards, refractors, parallels, short prints, case hits, and premium products. You should understand what collectors look for in a high-grade card and be comfortable distinguishing genuine value from hype.
You should be able to identify card details accurately, research comparable sales, inspect photos carefully, and communicate your conclusions clearly. Experience with PSA grading, card centering, Gem Mint standards, eBay sold listings, sports-card marketplaces, or collectible-card investing is highly valuable.

You must be honest about uncertainty. No raw card can be guaranteed to receive a PSA 10, so recommendations must use language such as “strong PSA 10 candidate,” “possible high-grade candidate,” or “not recommended due to visible condition concerns.” We value careful judgment over exaggerated confidence.
Recommendation Format

Each recommendation should include the player or character, year, brand, set, card number, parallel or variation, serial numbering if applicable, seller and listing link, asking price, estimated market value, visible condition strengths and concerns, centering assessment, estimated grading potential, and a clear recommendation such as Buy, Consider Negotiating, or Pass.
You should also explain what additional photos or information are needed before a final purchase decision is made.
Position Details

This is a remote position for a candidate located in the Philippines. The schedule may be flexible, but reliable communication and consistent weekly research availability are required. The role may begin on a trial or part-time basis and may expand as trust, accuracy, and performance are established.

This is an important role in a growing collectibles business. Poor recommendations can result in significant losses, while accurate research can help us acquire valuable cards, build inventory, and grow the business. We are looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about trading cards and wants to become an important part of the operation.
How to Apply

Please send a brief introduction describing your trading-card experience, the sports or collectible categories you know best, and your experience evaluating raw cards for grading. Include examples of cards you have researched or graded, if available.
Please also answer these questions:

1-Which card categories and products do you know best?
2-How do you evaluate whether a raw card could qualify for a PSA 10?
3-What condition flaws do you look for first?
4-How comfortable are you reviewing eBay listings and contacting sellers for additional photos?
5-Can you provide a sample recommendation for one raw card, including your reasoning and whether you would Buy, Negotiate, or Pass?

Important: This position requires careful research, strong attention to detail, honest opinions, and excellent communication. We are not looking for someone who recommends every card. We are looking for someone who can help protect our money and identify the right opportunities.
