DAASS is a fast-growing online education company, and we're hiring someone to work directly with the CEO on the company's most important initiatives. You'll take on real, high-stakes projects, figure out how to solve them, and drive them to completion. This is not an assistant role. It's not a task-execution role. It's a role for someone who wants ownership.

What you'll actually do

No two weeks look the same, but here's the kind of work that lands on your desk:

Strategic research and recommendations. Take on major open questions (for example: what's our best path to college accreditation?). Research the landscape, weigh the options, and come back with a clear, well-argued recommendation, not just a pile of options.

Building systems and tools. Use AI tools daily to build workflows, internal systems, learning tools, and processes that make the company run better.

Working with developers. Write specs a developer can build from, review what comes back, test it carefully, and give sharp, useful feedback.

Owning curriculum and production projects. Help turn expert knowledge into world-class lessons, and build the systems that keep production running smoothly.

Taking on the "whose job is this?" projects. Some of the most important work at a growing company doesn't fit neatly into any department yet. You'll learn the domain fast and build the path forward.

What a normal week looks like:
-Driving 2 to 3 active projects at different stages
-Getting up to speed quickly on unfamiliar subjects
-Writing clear memos that turn research into decisions
-Building tools and workflows yourself, using AI
-Reviewing team and developer output and sending back precise feedback
-A short, direct check-in with the CEO: what moved, what's blocked, what needs a decision

Who this is for:
-You have real examples of being handed an ambiguous goal and delivering results without hand-holding.
-You don't just finish tasks, you think about how to build the system so it runs better next time.
-You can sort through a lot of information, spot what actually matters, and make a real recommendation, not just present options.
-You already use AI tools daily to think, research, draft, and build. You can show us real examples.
-You're genuinely curious. You like walking into a subject you know nothing about and getting sharp fast.

Bonus points for: experience as an operations lead, founder's right hand, or founder of your own venture; the ability to write a spec a developer can build from; instructional design or curriculum experience; real software engineering ability; experience building with Claude, ChatGPT, no-code tools, or AI coding tools.
