Job Type: 1 Month — Full-time (4-week build). After that — Fractional, ~15 hours/week ongoing.
Job Description:
We're building a secure, unified way for our team and systems to communicate with our central "Mission Control" — starting with
We need a senior architect to lead this. The first month is a fast-paced, full-time build to get a secure, working pilot live. After that, the role shifts to a lighter, ongoing part-time role (about 15 hours a week) to maintain and grow what you built.
You'll move quickly, but never at the expense of security or approvals. If something's not safe or well understood, you're expected to pause and flag it — not just push through.
What You'll Own:
Understand the problem deeply before you start building
Design the full system — how people and data are verified, protected, connected, and tracked
Build in approval checkpoints so nothing sensitive goes out without human sign-off
Launch a working pilot with monitoring, backup plans, and real proof that it works
Review your team's work and stop or redirect anything unsafe or incomplete
Document your decisions, the risks involved, and what should happen next
What We're Looking For:
Senior-level experience in solution, enterprise, integration, platform, or security architecture
A track record building AI-enabled workflows, case/work-management systems, or automated systems with audit trails
Solid knowledge of identity/access management, data protection, and least-privilege design
Experience building secure systems for multiple clients or organizations without mixing their data
Comfortable using AI tools to help with analysis and design — but you check the work yourself
Strong communicator who can explain technical decisions clearly to non-technical executives
Bonus Points
Experience designing for users with very different tech skill levels
A history of turning unclear requirements into a safe, working pilot — fast
Confidence to say "stop" when something isn't secure or ready
You'll Thrive Here If You...
Would rather build the right thing slowly than the wrong thing fast
Take ownership of quality and security, not just "something that works"
Enjoy high-trust, high-autonomy work where you d
Are comfortable with an intense first month followed by a lighter, ongoing role
