JOB OVERVIEW

Remote Appointment Setter — Solar Energy (Massachusetts & Connecticut)

Next Step Energy is looking for motivated, reliable remote appointment setters to join our growing solar sales team. We connect homeowners in Massachusetts and Connecticut with in-home solar consultations — your job is to make that first connection happen.

Important: This role requires prior solar experience. We're not training from scratch. If you haven't worked in solar sales or solar appointment setting before, this isn't the right fit.

What you'll do:

Make outbound cold calls to homeowner leads in MA and CT
Qualify homeowners and generate interest in a free solar consultation
Book in-home appointments for our closers using our scheduling system
Submit clean, structured lead intake info after every booked appointment (name, address, contact details, appointment time)
Hit daily/weekly call and booking targets

What we're looking for:

Fluent English speaker with clear, confident phone communication
Prior cold-calling, telemarketing, or appointment-setting experience preferred (solar or home services a plus, but not required — we'll train you)
Comfortable with rejection and persistent without being pushy
Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace for calls
Self-motivated — this is a remote role, so you'll need to manage your own time and hit quotas without someone looking over your shoulder
Basic comfort with tools like Google Calendar and simple online forms

Schedule & setup:

Remote full-time available
Working hours aligned with US Eastern Time (MA/CT market)
We provide the dialer/calling system and lead lists — you bring the phone skills

Compensation:

$5/hour base pay, plus performance bonuses for booked appointments
Paid bi-weekly
