JOB OVERVIEW

We track product availability across major retail websites and push changes to a ---------- community in real time. We are looking for a developer who has already built monitors like this and knows what breaks in production.

The job is not "write a scraper." It is building and running a monitoring system that stays up, stays fast, and does not get blocked.

What you will build
Monitors that detect backend changes on retail sites before they surface on the front end: stock status, SKU and variant additions, price changes, hidden product pages, cart and checkout endpoint behaviour
---------- delivery through bots and webhooks, with clean embeds, role pings, per-channel routing, and rate limit handling
Proxy rotation, session and cookie management, and request patterns that survive bot detection on sites like Walmart, Best Buy, Costco, Target, Amazon, Pokemon Center, and specialty TCG retailers
Alerting and logging so we know within minutes when a monitor silently dies or starts returning garbage
A simple admin layer for adding new sites and SKUs without touching code every time

What you need to have done before
Built and operated production scrapers or monitors against sites that actively fight scraping
Worked with internal or undocumented APIs found through network traffic inspection, not just HTML parsing
Shipped a ---------- bot or webhook integration that real users depended on
Handled Cloudflare, Akamai, PerimeterX, or similar, including TLS fingerprinting and header ordering
Managed residential and datacenter proxy pools and understood the cost side of them

Technical skills
Required
Python or Node.js at a strong level
HTTP fundamentals: headers, cookies, sessions, TLS fingerprinting, GraphQL and REST
Async and concurrent request handling at scale
---------- .py, ---------- .js, or direct webhook work
Redis or similar for state and deduplication
Deployment on VPS or cloud with Docker, plus process supervision and auto restart

Helpful
Playwright or Puppeteer with stealth configurations
Experience with the sneaker, TCG, GPU, or collectibles monitor scene
Mobile app API reverse engineering
Grafana, Prometheus, or equivalent monitoring
