Social Media & Content Virtual Assistant
Company: K&N Cleaning Service LLC
Location: Remote – Philippines
Hours: Approximately 6 hours per week
Starting Pay: $5.00 USD per hour
Position Type: Part-Time
About K&N Cleaning Service
K&N Cleaning Service is a growing cleaning company serving residential, Airbnb, and small commercial clients throughout New York's Hudson Valley.
We are looking for a creative, dependable, and organized Social Media & Content Virtual Assistant to manage our social media content and help make sure our online presence supports our overall marketing goals.
This is not just a position for someone to make random graphics and post them. We want someone who can plan content ahead of time, understand what we are currently trying to market, and create posts that support those goals.
The position is approximately 6 hours per week and will include a quick 15-minute weekly meeting with management to review priorities, upcoming promotions, available content, and what we want to focus on that week.
Primary Responsibilities
Social Media Content
* Create and publish 3 quality social media posts every week.
* Create content for
* Plan posts around K&N's current marketing priorities.
* Write captions that sound natural, professional, and appropriate for a local cleaning company.
* Create clean, professional graphics using Canva when needed.
* Use photos and videos provided by our cleaning teams to create content.
* Schedule posts in advance.
* Create before-and-after content when appropriate.
* Highlight our cleaning services, team, customer reviews, cleaning results, and company culture.
* Create promotional and seasonal content when it supports our current marketing goals.
* Keep the appearance, voice, and messaging of our accounts consistent with the K&N brand.
We want exactly 3 purposeful posts each week. Quality, consistency, and having a reason behind each post are more important to us than posting every day.
Content Planning & Marketing Alignment
Content planning is an important part of this position.
The Social Media VA will be expected to:
* Maintain a monthly content calendar.
* Plan upcoming posts rather than creating content at the last minute.
* Make sure weekly posts support K&N's current marketing priorities.
* Use the weekly meeting to understand which services, customer types, promotions, hiring needs, or company messages we currently want to emphasize.
* Develop a mix of educational, promotional, trust-building, employee/team, and service-related content.
* Keep track of previously published content so our pages do not become repetitive.
* Suggest new content ideas instead of relying entirely on management to provide them.
* Identify photos, videos, testimonials, or other materials needed from management in advance.
* Build and maintain an organized library of photos, videos, graphics, and reusable content.
* Think about the purpose of each post and what we want the audience to do or understand after seeing it.
* Adjust upcoming content when company marketing priorities change.
We want our social media to work together with the rest of our marketing, not operate as a completely separate activity.
Weekly Marketing Meeting
There will be a quick 15-minute meeting once per week with management.
The purpose of this meeting is to:
* Review the upcoming week's 3 posts.
* Discuss what K&N is currently trying to promote or accomplish.
* Identify services or customer types we want to focus on.
* Discuss upcoming holidays, promotions, hiring needs, or company updates.
* Determine what photos or information the VA needs from us.
* Review what is working and what should be adjusted.
The VA should come to this meeting prepared with ideas and a plan. We do not want the entire meeting spent telling the VA what to post.
Website Support
Occasionally, the VA will also help keep the K&N website current.
This may include:
* Updating photos.
* Updating basic service information.
* Adding or changing text.
* Updating contact or employment information.
* Adding customer reviews or testimonials.
* Making simple page updates when requested.
* Checking the website periodically for outdated information.
This position does not require advanced web development or coding.
Brand & Content Standards
We want our online presence to feel professional but still personal.
The person in this position should be able to learn K&N's brand and create content that feels like it actually belongs to our company rather than generic cleaning-company content.
We do not want every post to be an advertisement.
Our content should help potential customers understand who we are, see the quality of our work, get to know our team, understand the value of professional cleaning, and feel comfortable trusting K&N in their homes or businesses.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate:
* Has previous experience managing
* Has experience creating content in Canva.
* Understands basic marketing concepts, not just social media posting.
* Can plan content around a company's current marketing goals.
* Has strong written English.
* Can write captions that sound natural rather than robotic or overly promotional.
* Has a good eye for clean, professional design.
* Can work independently.
* Can follow an established brand style.
* Is creative and regularly brings new ideas to the table.
* Is organized and plans ahead.
* Pays attention to spelling, grammar, image quality, and small details.
* Can consistently meet a 3-post-per-week schedule.
* Comes prepared for weekly meetings.
* Can complete work without constant reminders.
* Is comfortable receiving feedback and making revisions.
Experience working with a cleaning company, home-service business, or other local service business is a plus but is not required.
Schedule & Compensation
Approximately 6 hours per week.
Starting Pay: $5.00 USD per hour.
The schedule is mostly flexible. Most work does not need to be completed during New York business hours as long as deadlines are met and communication is reliable.
The VA must be available for one scheduled 15-minute meeting each week with management.
There may be opportunities for additional hours and responsibilities as the company grows.
