Over the next 120 days, we’re focused on consistent publishing, better content, and reaching more of the right viewers. We’re looking for someone interested in growing with us beyond that initial period.
ABOUT YEARS YOUNGER
I’m Kerri, the founder and teacher behind Years Younger.
We help active adults, primarily in their 40s, 50s, and early 60s, feel stronger, more mobile, confident, and adventurous through intelligent movement.
Our content covers mobility, strength, posture, breathwork, recovery, and helping the body keep up with an active life.
We want our social presence to feel modern, energetic, polished, and human.
THE ROLE
You’ll help take content from footage to finished, published posts.
You should be comfortable identifying strong moments in a video, editing them into compelling content, preparing the supporting copy, and uploading or scheduling the finished work.
Hands-on experience with YouTube, Instagram, and
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Video Editing and Repurposing
• Edit engaging YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and
• Find compelling clips within longer videos and movement demonstrations.
• Create strong openings, clear on-screen text, accurate captions, and purposeful pacing.
• Use music, B roll, graphics, and transitions that support the content.
• Adapt framing, text placement, and presentation for each platform.
• Edit long form YouTube content as assigned within the agreed weekly workload.
• Review your work for spelling, audio, cropping, cuts, and export quality before submission.
Uploading and Publishing
• Upload and schedule approved content through YouTube Studio and Meta Business Suite.
• Prepare platform-appropriate titles, descriptions, captions, and relevant hashtags.
• Check covers, thumbnails, links, publishing settings, and scheduled dates.
• Maintain a simple content calendar so we know what’s ready, scheduled, published, or missing.

Social Media Awareness
• Stay actively interested in what’s working on YouTube, Instagram, and
• Notice emerging formats, hooks, editing approaches, and audience conversations.
• Suggest relevant ideas we can adapt to our brand and audience.
• Understand when a trend fits and when it would distract from the message.
• Bring ideas proactively rather than waiting for instructions for every post.
Performance Review
• Review available platform analytics, including views, watch time, retention, shares, and subscriber or follower growth.
• Identify useful patterns in stronger and weaker posts.
• Share a brief weekly update with what was published, what performed well, and what you recommend trying next.
WHO YOU ARE
• You have a strong video editing portfolio and practical social publishing experience.
• You understand the difference between a polished video and content that earns attention and holds it.
• You can write clear, natural English captions and supporting copy.
• You have good visual judgment and know how to keep an edit engaging without making it busy.
• You’re organized, proactive, and comfortable following a content calendar.
• You communicate reliably and apply feedback accurately.
• You can work independently within clear brand guidelines and agreed priorities.
Experience with movement, fitness, wellness, education, or a personal brand is helpful, but strong relevant work matters most.
TOOLS
You should be comfortable with:
• A video editing platform such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro.
• YouTube Studio.
• Meta Business Suite for
• Canva for simple covers and supporting graphics.
• Google Drive and Google Sheets for files and content tracking.
Descript and Dropbox experience are helpful. We can teach you the parts of our specific workflow you haven’t used before.
You don’t need to know every editing program. You do need to demonstrate strong editing and reliable publishing skills.
HOURS AND PAY
• Starting pay: $6 USD per hour.
• Expected workload: 12 hours per week.
• Remote, ongoing part time position.
• Weekly priorities and hours agreed in advance.
• Flexible editing hours with a regular communication window during my working day, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Pacific Time, Los Angeles.
Content may be scheduled to publish outside your working hours. You won’t need to be online every time a scheduled post goes live.
COMMUNICATION
During agreed working days, please acknowledge direct work messages within eight hours. A short acknowledgment is sufficient if you need more time to provide a full answer.
Please communicate file access problems, questions, or anything that could affect a deadline as soon as you discover it.

3. One recent content trend or format you think could work for Years Younger. Link to an example and explain how you’d adapt it for active adults in their 40s, 50s, and early 60s.
4. Your experience with your preferred editing software, YouTube Studio, Meta Business Suite, Canva, and Descript. Please be honest about what you know and what you’d need to learn.
5. Confirmation that $6 USD per hour and 12 per week work for you, your earliest start date, and your available communication hours in Pacific Time. Include any other work commitments that affect your availability.
