Title: Social Media Video Editor & Content Manager for a Famous Arizona River Resort — Full-Time, Long-Term (Reels/TikTok)
Category: Marketing / Social Media — Video Editing
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Shift: Manila time, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM, 5 days/week — a normal Manila daytime shift (no graveyard). It lines up with 3:00–11:00 PM Arizona time, our peak social and event hours, so you can post and respond while the resort is alive.
Pay: $900–$1,200 USD/month, based on experience, paid reliably and on time — plus a share of the team's rotating on-call stipend (explained below). Performance review and raise discussion at 90 days.
Type: Long-term, as one of a four-person Philippines team that helps run this resort.
About us
We own a well-known riverfront resort and floating dock bar in Parker, Arizona, USA — a local landmark since 1967, on the Colorado River. We have about 33,000 Instagram followers, 20 vacation bungalows, a restaurant and bar, a pool, live music, DJs, and big weekend events.
Our on-site team shoots a lot of raw phone video and photos every week — sunsets, drinks being made, boats, live events, the pool, our bungalows — and our staff run a monthly content contest that keeps the raw footage flowing. What we need is you: the person who turns that raw material into polished posts, every week, without fail, and keeps our social channels feeling alive and human.
The team you are joining
We are building a four-person Philippines team: a Back-Office Lead & Bookkeeper, two Front Desk & Hospitality Agents, and you, the Social Media Editor. The four of you will know each other, meet weekly on video with the owner, share one team chat and handover log, and be cross-trained to relieve each other. Your part of the cross-coverage: roughly one shift-block per week of front-desk message triage (answering routine guest messages from templates — no payments, no phones until you're trained and cleared), plus a rotating share of the team's overnight on-call week (Arizona overnight is Manila afternoon/evening — you're reachable at home, not at a desk). In return, when you take leave, the team covers your queue the same way. Nobody here is a lone contractor; you are staff.
The job
You will:
Edit short-form video from raw phone clips our staff uploads to a shared folder — Reels / TikTok /
Write captions in natural, fun American English (AI tools are welcome — we use them too — but the final caption must sound like a person at a river bar, not a bot)
Schedule and publish — 4–5 feed posts per week plus daily Stories, across Instagram,
Run community replies during your shift — routine comments and DMs from an approved guide (hours, location, menus, event info, booking questions routed to the front-desk team) — and escalate anything sensitive (complaints, i
Track the staff content contest — log who submitted clips, which ones we published, and the monthly leaderboard (we give you the format) — this contest is your footage supply chain, treat it like one
Keep the content library organized — every raw clip and finished edit filed and tagged in the resort's own library, so the resort's content is an asset that lives with the resort
Send one short report per week — what you published, best/worst performers (saves and shares matter more to us than likes), booking-link clicks where visible, and what raw footage you need more of next week
For the first 90 days, nothing posts without the owner's approval — you'll send a weekly batch for a quick approve/revise. Proven judgment earns real independence after that.
You must have
2+ years editing short-form social video for a business (not just personal accounts) — a portfolio of business Reels/TikToks you personally edited is required
Strong skills in CapCut and/or Premiere Pro, and Canva
Experience scheduling in Meta Business Suite (Later, Buffer, or Metricool is a plus)
Written English good enough to caption like a native speaker on a good day — voice matters more than grammar perfection, but both matter
Reliability on a fixed 6 AM–2 PM Manila schedule, a home setup with high-speed internet, your own computer, and a backup plan for brownouts
The discipline of a newsroom habit: content goes out on schedule even when the week is boring — especially when the week is boring
Big plus if you have
Hospitality, travel, restaurant, or nightlife brand experience
You understand American river/lake/boating culture — or you're genuinely curious enough to learn it fast (our audience can smell a fake in one caption)
Comment/DM community management experience
Basic photo editing and thumbnail/cover design beyond templates
How to apply — please follow exactly
Start your application with the word RIVER so we know you read this. Then:
Link 3 business Reels/TikToks you personally edited (say what was yours: edit, captions, both)
Scenario: A guest posts a public comment: "Waited 40 minutes for a burger and the staff could care less. Won't be back." Write the exact public reply you'd post, and note what you'd do privately
Tell us your tools (editing apps, scheduling tools) and your internet speed, computer, and backup plan
In two or three sentences: a river resort bar posts a gorgeous sunset with no people in it, and it flops. A shaky bartender video does 10× better. Why — and what does that change about what you'd ask our staff to film?
Applications without the word RIVER and without the 3 links will not be reviewed.
Hiring process
Shortlisted applicants get a paid test edit ($30 USD): we send raw staff clips from a real event night; you return 2 finished Reels with captions within 48 hours
Top candidate does a paid 2-week trial at the agreed rate — real content, real schedule, with the approval workflow in place
Then an ongoing monthly arrangement, reviewed at 90 days, cross-training into team coverage from month two
