Social Media Video Editor

Location: Remote
Type: Contract / As-Needed (with opportunity for part-time or full-time)

At One Way Event Productions, we’re building an in-house media engine to tell real stories from the world of live events — from behind-the-scenes ---------- nts to educational content, podcasts, and event highlights.

We’re looking for a creative, modern Social Media Video Editor to help turn raw footage into engaging long-form content for YouTube and short-form clips for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube Shorts.

This role starts on an as-needed basis, with strong potential to grow into part-time or full-time work as our content production scales.

???? What You’ll Do

Edit long-form video content for YouTube (podcasts, interviews, panels, event recaps)

Create short-form vertical clips optimized for:

Instagram Reels

TikTok

YouTube Shorts

LinkedIn video

Add engaging subtitles, motion graphics, and light branding elements

Help shape a consistent, modern editing style across platforms

Organize edited files in Google Drive following our folder structure

Collaborate with our Content Manager to meet deadlines and creative goals

???? What We’re Looking For

Strong experience editing for modern social platforms (not just traditional video)

Understanding of what performs well on short-form platforms (hooks, pacing, captions, storytelling)

Creative eye for engaging visuals and timing

Comfortable working with raw footage and shaping it into compelling content

Proficient with editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, etc.)

Familiar with Google G Suite and Google Drive for file management and collaboration

Strong communication skills and ability to take feedback

Experience editing podcasts or interview-style content

Familiarity with event, lifestyle, or business content

Motion graphics or light animation skills

Experience working with remote teams
