Role Overview:
I’m looking for a creative and organized Virtual Assistant to support me in running my community-focused brand for women. You’ll help with social media, create engaging content, and assist with affiliate partnerships, along with some light admin and organization. I’m looking for someone reliable, easy to work with, and proactive who can help keep things running smoothly day to day.
Requirements:
*Must be able to work 40 hours weekly
*Must be able to work any 8-hour block between 7am and 5pm Eastern Time (US), Monday through Friday
*Must have strong communication skills
*Must be an excellent writer (with light AI support)
*Must have excellent English grammar
*Willing to learn other things
*Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities independently
*Virtual meetings with me a few times a week
*Must be female
*Someone interested in Science is nice to have!
What You’ll Do:
Must-Have Experience (Responsibilities You Must Be Proficient In)
These are the tasks you need to handle independently and confidently from day one:
Social Media Management, Engagement, and Content Creation:
*Handle daily social media content creation and posting
*Write engaging, clever captions that drive conversation and engagement
*Develop and manage a monthly content calendar
*Manage content calendar using a software of your choice
*Proactively present a proposed content calendar on the first Monday of every month
*Draft and send newsletters in my voice
*Use Claude responsibly as a support tool (not as a replacement for creative thinking and writing)
*Format and post blogs in WordPress
*Respond to comments, foster conversations, and build relationships with followers
*Create content using Canva (or any similar software)
Affiliate Management:
*Manage logistics for all affiliate brand partnerships
*Handle outreach (both inbound and outbound communication)
*Oversee and manage all logistics for affiliate brand partnerships, including outreach, deliverables, tracking, payments, and performance monitoring
*Research clean materials, emerging science on microplastics, forever chemicals, new toxin studies, and vet brand partners against the company’s standards. A bit more than Googling, will require critical thinking and source evaluation.
*Evaluate every brand partner against the brand’s five standards before outreach even begins, which will require light critical thinking & then outreach.
Administrative Support and Organization:
*Proficient in Google Docs
*Create and manage tracking systems using Google Sheets
*Comfortable managing and tracking tasks through WhatsApp, efficiently handling notes, updates, and communications.
*Build internal systems that remove daily posting from my plate
*Create structured brainstorming systems
Nice-to-Have Experience (Responsibilities You Can Learn Over Time)
These tasks are valuable but can be trained on the job:
*Familiarity with Notion and/or Airtable
*Look at my website and make suggestions and recommendations to improve it
*Basic knowledge of JavaScript
